    Default The Color Test Gambit

Here's a little gambit that is simple, has probably been stated before, but I made it up myself because I actually believe it.

    Me: What's your favorite color?
or (the second is more difficult to pull off but becomes easier if you're a pro)
Me: You look like a *insert color here*.

    Her: *insert color here*
**Note: If she says she has 2 favorite colors, one of them is black.

Me: Oh you look/don't look like a *insert color here*
    or
Me: Oh you look more like a *insert color here*

Me: I believe that a person's favorite color is a better indicator of his/her personality than horoscopes are. I mean, a person actually chooses his/her favorite color whereas a horoscope is simply the alignment of the stars the night you were born, which is complete bullsh1t.

Her: Really? So why am I *color*? or So what does *color* mean?
At this point her interest is peaked.

From here you answer based on the color, i.e.
Me: You chose yellow but you look more like an orange because yellow people are generally artsy and happy-dappy about things, but I thought that you had more red in you (fyi: red and yellow make orange) because I thought you had more passion and fire in you.
***Powerpuff girl references work great here if you're describing blue, pink/red, or green.

Debate will ensue but she will usually start telling you all about herself and explaining why she is who she is (Mission accomplished). Give your opinion accordingly.

At some point in this discussion she WILL ask you what color you are or you could lead by asking what color she thinks you are. Have a well-prepared response handy. i.e. (this is mine)
Me: I'm purple because I'm pretty relaxed, chill, and have a good bit of confidence, but I also get very passionate and once you get me fired up I get wild and turn into the life of the party. (mix of blue and red)

Her: That's pretty cool. --Blah Blah Blah who cares--

    -----------------------

    Sample Color Personality Traits:

    Red: passionate, high-octane, confident
Orange: red and yellow put together
Yellow: artsy, happy-dappy, smiley faces and rainbows
Green: every girl who I've met that is green is crazy (great lays but crazy) They're usually the most off-beat/different/mischievous in their groups, i.e. Buttercup from the powerpuff girls
    Blue: relaxed, soothing, intelligent, cool-calm-collect
Purple: Mix of blue and Red but unique (my favorite combo, I love meeting purples, all of my closest friends are purples, that includes guys)
Black: dark, somewhat evil, edgy, often associated with red (rarely but sometimes associated with green), a lot of goth chicks will choose black
Pink: flighty, similar to red in confidence and passion but more like a bally girl, you can generally tell a girl likes pink by how willy-nilly she does things or if she wears it.

**Note: These are only samples, you may use whatever traits you think will work.

    --------------------------------------

This routine has gotten a good reaction EVERY time I've used it. It always sparks intriguing conversations. When you get good at it, you can generally guess a girl's color right off the bat, which increases the dhv.

    Feel free to critique.

    Interesting,

nice topic, ive got to say this is good material, now throwing this into the conversation with some coherence would be somewhat of a challenge.

    Great conversation fuel though.

    Good job keep it up

This sounds a lot less gaudy than palmistry. Which is a good thing. My roommates have all given me crap about palm reading.

Another good reference for understanding color meanings would be (don't laugh) taking 'What Color is Your Lightsaber?' personality tests. Just click through and play with the results. Some have color associations that are pretty ... enlightening!
