Well, my 'texting game' could use a lot of improvement from more experienced people, and I am wondering how to push a conversation to where I can get to know her better, and eventually ask her out on a date. I find it pretty easy to start text conversations, however I find it more difficult to continue them. After several failed attempt with previous ladies, I bow down and come before the masters!
Background: Met this lady through a wedding. We had some fun, taking a shot or two together, I passed on a few compliments at the time as well. She's smart (University sciences), enjoys baking and volunteer work. She added me to FB a few days after the wedding, rather than the other way around. For public sake, I shall use Jane as her name. In 5 days, she'll be leaving to do work in a foreign country for a month, and it is impossible for us to meet up in the meantime.
Me: Good Afternoon Jane. What kind of trouble is this scientific-experimenting baker causing this find evening?
Her: Only work, not too exciting!
Me: well then, why not making work exciting? Put on some music, dance a little, make it fun!
Her: Too much dancing and I'd get fired!
In this scenario, what would have been a good way to respond to this? I'm looking for opinions here!
Edit: I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum! This was meant to go to texting one.
