    Default False time constraint?

    Hello guys,
I am new to all this and so this is probably a really dumb question. But I was wondering if you create a false time constraint, how then do you justify staying with the Set after you've completed your opener? Wouldn't it be weird that a minute a go you just said you will be leaving soon, and after your opener you just stayed and trying to dhv, Neg and show ioi? I hope this question makes sense

I understand your question. This is why it's called a FALSE time contstraint and not a TRUE time contraint. If they end up liking you and you are all vibing together then they will most likely NOT ask if you are leaving or even suggest you do leave. And you don't have to justify staying at all, verbally. Just let them forget that little detail.

If they do bring it up then it's a possible sign that they are not enjoying your company. Do you think that if a celebrity walked up to them with a time constraint, they would risk bringing it up again which could make that person follow through with their earlier statement and leave? Same thing. If you are ADDING value to the group and it's better with YOU there, then they won't want you to leave and not risk bringing it up. Hope this helps and good luck.

    Well, you don't stay haha

As I see it, there are 2 kinds of false time constraints:

    - definitive FTC: "I have to leave soon" - In that case, well you have to get the number before leaving. If you can't, well leave anyway. But usually, don't use these unless you REALLY have to leave, rather, use the...

    - temporary FTC: "I have to go back to my friends soon" - Try to do as much as you can, and then go back to your friends, or do other stuff; then come back, and continue gaming

But overall, there is no issue with not respecting a FTC you gave, it's not like you're saying "I have to leave, my mother is dying right now", they won't even notice you're not respecting your FTC

What BatMan said is spot on.

There is a chance that she/someone might bring it up as a sh*t test though. If they do:

"Eh, they can wait *wink*" (If you 'have to get back to your friends')

"Are you not enjoying yourself? *cocky grin*" (Sh*t test w/ a sh*t test)
Wondering where I am now? Check out my latest project:

Remember what Style said in The Game: when you walk into a new group of strangers the first thing they will think is, "Oh jeez, how long is this guy gonna stay here?" Immediately giving a FTC lets them relax thinking that you won't wear out your welcome. With them relaxed a bit, you can work your game and win them over, Isolate the girl you want, etc. It's just simple psychology. As someone said, if they DO remind you of your FTC, then they don't like you and it's time to eject!
