    Knight,
I'm going to rake your advice and go for it.
What do I have to fear but fear itself as they say...
And if all else fails, and I get the could shoulder or
what have you.. Then so be it... I'll keep going until
I get it right.. Practice makes purfect...
    Thanks again....
    Jay....

If you’ve been reading between the lines, you see this is the essence of a good date. Smile when you see her. Compliment her hair. If it’s raining, offer to drop her off at the door.

Ask her questions; listen to her answers. It flatters her and takes the focus off you. But don’t make her feel like a “CSI: Miami” suspect. Try comments that encourage a response without demanding one: “It sounds like you really like your job,” or “I can’t wait for winter to end.”

When it’s your turn, avoid making yourself sound like a superhero. When you’re with guys, bragging is almost expected; to women it’s a turn-off. A little modesty makes you look a lot better.

    @ Knight,
    (AND EVERYBODY ELSE)
I went to the mall over the weekend and
Went into a bookstore, where there was a very
Nice looking lady that worked there... Needless
to say I put some of my routine to work.. The negs
worked very well... Just couldn't get the close...
AGAIN... Trying to hard I guess... I don't know...
    What am I doing wrong????

Post more details about things (bits of the conversation would really help) and I'll see if I can figure it out

@ Knight, (ALL ARE WELCOME TO HELP ME
OUT AND WOULD GREATLY BE APPRECIATED)
Well, for starters I know that having my 8 yr old
son along didn't help.. But, I could've gone for the number
close.. Here's how it went down...
Saturday at the mall was a sports special...
Football cards and such... I wanted to get a Beckett
Price magazine.. This is where it gets good..
We're in this bookstore when the girl who I thought
was pretty hot walks up to me and asks me if I needed
any help.. I respond by saying... No, I was just making sure
this stand here wasn't going to fall over.. (I WAS
LEANING UP AGAINST IT) So, after that I turned
My back towards her and act like I'm interested in what
My son was doing... She walk up beside me and asks me
a second time if I needed any help. Then I turn the upper part of my body towards
her and asked her if she had this magazine.. Where she replies No, I only
Get a couple of them at a time... I reply.. Well, what good are you then.. (I SHOW
HER A SMILE AS I SAY THIS). I turn my back a second time away
From her... This time she says I could get your number and call you when it comes
in... (SMILING). I can't remember my EXACT words to her, but it was
Something in the lines of: It's just a magazine and I added her
In all that.... But, Her expression on her face and her body language
told me that it was all good.. Because, she inched closer to
me and said: No, Really I'll give you a call and smiled again...
Something told me to keep neging but I didn't and just gave her my cell
number... After that I froze up and just smiled and walked out..
(AND NO, SHE NEVER DID CALL) What else could
    I have said and done.....????

Jay you could always go back to the store sometime without your son with you and try talking to her again. Never give up man she's obviously interested in you based on what you said so keep trying man.

Ok, Monday..... Got a new haircut, new cloths and did
Some peacocking... Went back to the mall and back to the store..
I didn't even say one word.. She looked at me, got this big smile and started
to laugh... Like a playful kind of laugh... She turned, said she was going to the back to
check for this magazine... When she came back she said that the magazine
didn't come in yet... Now, here's the bad part... Her co-worker is ALWAYS around...
So, I started to do some neging.. I turned to her co-worker and said: Does she always not order enough books and magazines like this...?? I had my back towards the girl that had my interest... She didn't like this to much because she wouldn't even let the other girl
get a full sentence in and she would start talking to my back...
And laugh... So, I kept it up... BUT, I still can't get it to the Number Close... Because of her co-worker hanging around....
How can I break up the two like this????
