Im 21, shes 27. We've been friends for roughly a year now, she hasn't done anything to indicate im in the friend zone, she never mentions a bf, and iv always been a bit flirtatious with her, we get along pretty good. The pickle that im having (on top of me being a shy pussy) is that we've ate out numerous times on casual occasions and I want to officially ask her out and make it clear that its a date without using the word "date". Like i don't wanna say "Would you like to go out on a date with me" cause that seems cheesy right? But i think im gonna take her out to lunch and maybe just ask her at lunch and say "hey theres this good restaurant blah blah, you should let me take you there sometime". Think that would be clear enough? How would you guys word it/do it?
(btw i dont expect her to say yes, i want to do this regardless because i have little experience asking girls out and i figure this is really good practice especially if i can handle the rejection)
