Default Alcohol - a help or a hindrance?

As someone who's new to this scene, I was wondering what you guys thought about this.
I can't even think about talking to girls in bars unless I've had at least a jug of beer, usually more (and generally only at shitty bars - girls at trendy bars tend to be a lot less friendly). Every time I've tried to hit on girls while sober at bars I freak out, to the extent where I'm often visibly sweating or shaking. However, after a few drinks I feel more relaxed, more confident and more conversational. I know most experienced PUA's say that alcohol can only harm your game, but I literally can't imagine trying to pick up without it.

Is it really always better to hold off on the drinks? Any tips for getting by without it? Or do some people think that it's better to have a few drinks before going sarging?

You should be able to do it sober, if you can't then its a hinderance.

There is nothing wrong with a little dutch courage but you shouldn't be dependent on it.

Try some day game, approach women in the street. This should work out some of that sober aa and help you in the club scene.

Day game is "gods game" in my opinion, like racing with no Nos, or playing baseball with a wooden bat. Plus your more likely to meet relationship material types that way.

Once you've got day game down, night game is like stealing candy from a baby... a drunk baby.

Its a catch 22 for me as well. And yes most PUAs day not to even have any drink because it makes you sloppy, bad breath, lower value.

I however am in your shoes. Talking sober I feel kind of akward. But after a few drinks I'm funnier, more animated, louder, all good things. So I feel like Alch is an advantage for me.

This being said though, It IS better to be sober and approach women. It's something we must work on as the above poster said. Because many times I get Too drunk, slur my words, forget names, or worse; blackout and forget everything.

Even a few beers and make you sloppy.

I'm in the exact same boat as you both.

The best way to go about it I find is getting a friend to come out with you who's not used to being completely sober either.

This way you're not doing it alone and it's not half as intimidating as you can both laugh about how much you suck after your first few encounters before you start to improve.

Once you eliminate the fear, there's no reason to shake or get sweaty.

And I always reason that girls are more than likely slightly tipsy anyway so they won't be as analytic as you might fear!

    Happy hunting!
If it was not for man's urge to gamble, It could be argued that we would still be monkeys hanging in the trees.
