    Default Peacocking - Do you?

    Hi, Guys.

Your local friendly neighbourhood AFC here. I wanted to get this conversaiton going because I'm interested in finding out if people do or not. And if they do, What do they use? I think it's a great way to express yourself while getting a load of attention, Though it's not always good attention.

So, Do you have any peacocking gear?

Do you have any conversational pieces or curiosities that you wear?

When I have been going out I have been wearing a nearly black suit with a pearlescent purple shirt. Nice shiny shoes too. When you look at the kinds of places I've been going to, You'd see that it's quite surreal. I also wear a purple pendant which I use in a mind control routine which is a great illusion to get people intrigued, If you can slip it in. (though, the one time that a little hottie asked about it, It was my first time approaching a set alone and sobre and when she asked about the pendant I froze and said it's nothing. My bad, could have gone somewhere big with that one.) And a pair of white sun shades, sometimes on the eyes, sometimes on the ehad and other times just folded up but hanging in plain sight in my jacket breast pocket. They usually get asked about, Which is nice. And I like mystery's idea of putting them on a target while Freezing Her Out to prevent her walking off.

I'd love to hear what you guys wear, if you peacock at all. Or what your experiences with it are.

I got this jacket- unfortunately I think it's sold out in most places.

I can't post external links yet so search for "G-Star Halo Bomber Jacket"

I've gotten a lot of compliments on it and it fits well with the electronic music/dance scene. Another benefit is that girls will ask "what's on your jacket?" And I say "paratroopers!" and then challenge them to find the airplanes like Where's Waldo.

Well, Stigward, I'm ginger so I naturally Peacock. I'd prob go for something not too "out there" but something which catches her eye, that she'll ask about. You'll get talking to her easier.

any clothes in bright colors that stand out will do just fine for peacocking gear, though i like to wear a nice big bright stainless steel watch that really stands out, and depending on the season sometimes i will wear a bright red coat with a necklace that has the word "insert my first name" hanging from it. also having shoes that match your outfit that aren't just black is really awesome for peackocking.

There was one Halloween where the theme for my college group was "spirit animals." I hadn't finished my costume by the time I got to the place, but it was before the party - so I got a lot of attention, female included, for putting it together. It was a vest covered in toothpicks with false fur on the front - I was a hedgehog!

It worked really well, right up until the part where the friends of the girl I'd been dancing with came up and told her that just because her boyfriend had cheated on her didn't mean she got to cheat on him. Epic fail.

I don't Peacock because my game isn't super solid yet. most the clubs I game at, the peacockers are AFC's lol.

So I feel like I would be easier to spot as an "PUA wannabe"

Once I'm more solid I'm sure I will try some peacocking.

technically any outfit you wear is an expresion of yourself. so if you aren't super peacocked it doesn't mean you can't be peacocked at all, you could simply wear a watch or bracelet or even a t-shirt with lettering on it is a form of peacocking. simply putting a good outfit together (that matches) will work wonders. i doubt it if you don't peacock at all, heck dressing like a hobo could almost be peacocking.

peacocking is about looking your best and standing out from the crowd. you don't have to do much to your appearance to do that

i agree that some people take it way too far with all the peircings and tatoos and stuff (its just not my thing no offense) but there is nothing wrong with improving your chances by wearing a unique outfit

My Peacock method is just dressing slightly nicer than everyone else. You don't want to go all out because then you look like you try to hard. However Im now known as "the guy who always looks nice". (The only pitfall is on your off-days you feel kinda slummy) Girls are always complimenting me on how I dress and its a good ego boost. General what i wear is loafers, nice jeans (usually darker), belt to match the loafers, v-neck blank-t, and a sweater as its winter. So the key is to stand out but not too much and you'll be golden.
In life you get what you put into it.

I wear this unique hand crafted and carved bamboo bracelet that I got from costa rica. Along with it comes a dhv story. Anyways, there's a lot of sentimental value in that bracelet. I got it in a beach town there.

I bought a brown leather vest for Halloween a couple years ago... it looks like it's straight out of the "Sonny & Cher" wardrobe from the 1970's. LOL!

I just started wearing it last week, just for the hell of it & have gotten a SH!TLOAD of attention from people because of it.

So, it's like an accidental / unintentional peacocking item.

All I know is it's soooo retro, it's actually stylish.
Not bad for a $2.00 item from Goodwill.
