Exclamation A quick thought about direct openers

Very often i find when using a direct opener (especially during a street approach), the PUA opens immediately by expressing his interest without using any comfort building, calibrating or DHVing. It is not just myself who has this issue. People who have coached me have often just gotten completely ignored when trying to perform some type of demo. Point of the thread you may ask? Well here it is: does anybody know of some type of technique to sort of negate an initial flight response from the woman when using a direct opener?
When playing the game, always live on the edge. You always get rejected by every girl you don't approach.

I assume you've watched the Sasha day game and James Marshall videos. Watching their approach to day game is great because they both do it so differently.

I feel like James Marshall has a bit of an advantage on the rest of us, with his accent and facial structure. His approaches are very low energy, which I think helps the HBs stay calm and doesn't start a fight or flight response.

Sasha, on the other hand, literally jumps in front of girls and stops them from leaving. He physically blocks the flight path. And when they do go to run, he'll grab their hands and just keep plowing through the resistance.

Another great approach that I have tried is the slow opening that Chase Amante teaches. Basically, use a situational opener, but pay very little attention to the HB. Make a comment in passing like, "Pretty long line," etc. Then look away for 5-7 seconds and then look back like you just realized that you were talking to a HB and proceed with a direct opener. This is great because it builds a small level of comfort before you try to attract her. It neutralizes you a bit, makes it look like you weren't trying to pick her up, and makes things a little bit more natural.

Anyways, there are plenty of approaches to doing this. Find whatever works best for you and give it a shot!
