    Default STYLE-LIFE Challenge: PERSONA

Okay, so I'm at the part of the Style-Life Challenge where I have to research an iconic 'ladies man' persona, and then adopt that persona/mentality/attitude as I approach and talk to a woman. I asked around and made a long list of possibilities and I need some help narrowing it down. This is what I've got:

    - John Travolta in "Get Shorty"
    - Marlon Brando
    - Johnny Depp in "Don Juan Demarco"
    - Brad Pitt
    - George Clooney
    - Leonardo DiCaprio
    - Anthony Hopkins in "Meet Joe Black"
    - Morgan Freeman ???
    - Jack Nicholson
    - Alec Baldwin in "30 Rock"
    - Mexican 'pimp' from "Kill Bill vol. 2"
    - Antonio Banderas
    - Ryan Gosling
    - Bradley Cooper

Some of these are obvious. I'm interested to hear what personas people like from these actors. Also, a lot of these guys have different personas depending on the movie! Which characters from which movies?? Am I missing some really good ones?? Let me know what you think!

Brad Pitt from fight club is probably the most effective persona imo. But it depends who you resonate with.

i would have to say that john travolta from "get shorty" or brad pitt from fight club (aka the charactor tyler durden) would be your best bet. though i like james bond, he doesn't really do anything to get ladies, wereas john travolta is very smooth with everything he does and how he dresses in "get shorty"
brad pitt is just plain badass when he is tyler durden from the movie "fight club" he literaly has no social inhibitions at all , and overall tyler durden is a stonecold badass. definately recomend brad pit from fight club as my top pic.

Not to further complicate things, but I would throw Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington into the mix. BOth are guys who are pretty consistent in their movies of portraying alpha males with consistent and dominant morality. Their inner game is just so solid that it shows right through.

    Good luck!

Still voting Tyler Durden. Don't give a shit and hold the strongest frame ever. Do things that only fuel your long term happiness, fuck everything else.

I was gonna vote Tyler Durden (Bratt Pitt) from Fight Club before I even saw that list or Elitist and Meteora's responses. If anyone, take him. No contest.

This might seem a little strange, but I actually decided on Ryan Gosling's character from "Drive." Tyler Durden was a close second, but in the end there's something about that character that called me.

He's this everyman, capable of both unconditional love and vulnerability, as well as this incredible STRENGTH and POWER to protect the ones he loves in the face of tremendous evil. He embodies the metaphor of the Lion and the Lamb. Not only that, I really like his stoic, quiet personality. He simply does what he has to do, without saying much, like heroes from the old movies. And he certainly doesn't rely on 'techniques' or 'tricks' to create attraction. It all comes from the core.

For anyone who has seen the movie, I've kinda become a bit of a talker like the character Shannon...making jokes but not saying anything of substance. So it'll be good for me to use this character as a reminder to draw back into my center and find strength, not from my words and my wit, but from a deep inner-confidence!

Thanks for all the suggestions! When I'm done playing around with this one, I'll move up to something more like Tyler Durden or Travolta from "Get Shorty"

    Cheers,
    Jules

The EPIC lady killer ALFIE (1966 film) played by Michael Caine.

Also Peter O'Toole as Michael James in What's New Pussycat? (1965 film).
