    Default Talking on Facebook

Ok, I met this girl at a college event. Long story short, we talked for a while, and that went pretty good. Now here is the problem. I don't know for sure whether she likes me or not.I ended up adding adding her on Facebook, but I am not sure how to start a conversation with her. I wouldn't usually have a problem with this, it isn't a confidence issue or anything. It is just that I feel like it will come off as out of the blue. So, I am wondering how to start chatting with her, without my intentions being obvious. Also, for anyone wondering it was a college weekend event for a college we are both considering.

Make your intentions known right from the start.

It's much better to be honest about what you want, than to lie about it & pretend to be something else.

Girls appreciate & are attracted to honest, confident men who know what they want & aren't afraid to go after it.

Right, I completely understand that. But I have always been someone to ask a girl out in person. Wouldn't it be better to build rapport with her first by chatting with her on Facebook ?

Good advice T-Mal, but how show interest without coming out as a pervert and/or needy? I just come up with crap like:

"I like your style, so you may take a ride on my love horse. Free tomorrow?"

"Come for dinner here tomorrow! Is chicken wok OK? Do you like garlic?"

    "Are you also horny?"

@SentientMind- Building rapport before attraction is only a good idea if your goal is the friend zone.

    Always flirt first!!
Light teasing / bantering... fun interactions.
You don't need (nor do you want) a "conversation" in the very beginning.

Find something about her that you can playful give her a hard time about.

Use emoticons to indicate humor if you're unsuire of how she might take what you're saying.
(A smiley face or wink can help dramatically!)

I had planned to ask her out in person, but I didn't get to see her again, which was unexpected. I think my main problem, is that I'm not near as good at this online as I am in person. Should I comment on her photos, or start a conversation/flirt with her ?

Don't worry about a "conversation".. . but making comments on her photos is good, if you do it correctly. (Mention something subtle / not so obvious)

Here's an example of a message I sent to a girl, (on a dating site... but you could tweak this to fit the FB vibe) where I commented on her photos... sort of:

I wrote: SUBJECT LINE: "Hey Spunky Brewster!!!

So, I'm reading your profile & you sound like a super-normal, regular next door neighbor sort of woman.
However; your pictures capture an unmentioned quality about you...

Something in your eyes gives away the fact that you're a bit spunky/sassy. There's a more upbeat, playful, adventurous side that you didn't describe, but it's totally noticeable.
    (Just sayin')

    I'm Mark by the way.
I hope your weekend has been full of awesomeness!

    **Her Reply**

    RE:Hey Spunky-Brewster!!!

100%, without out a doubt, the most fantabulous email i have ever gotten!!!!!
And.... Just maybe.... I might have a little spunk in me!!
A man that has or is going to read 50 shades.... Yep.. I will say that that too is a plus!
I am actually anxious to get your next email!!
    Btw.... I’m Kellie

It was kind of like a "cold read" of sorts... I basically made an assumption about her & was flirty right from the initial message I sent.

When you give girls names like "sassy or spunky" they seem to eat that sh!t up.
