I agree the model is not outdated...maybe the routines are all burned out because Students use them again and gain. A well rounded PUA always is introducing new openers, routines and comfort building activities. Being a PUA is like being a doctor you always have to be learning different things from other fields, such as Psychology, Astrology, Palm reading..and such. The more more knowledge you have the more powerful you become as a PUA. Style is a good example, he is not just a PUA he is a scholar!

I totally agree with Conquistador82. You have to be a genuinely interesting person for this to work long-term. I've only had maybe two sets call me out for using PUA on them, but I'm always changing up the openers. Also, I like situational openers, such as just asking about the music, people or venue.

Teasing has helped create a playful vibe in my sets, but some negs have blown up in my face. Saturday night I asked two sets of Indian gals the age question. Both of them responded very negatively. I played it off like nothing had happened, but I was regretting that move for the next five minutes.

I've never strictly followed the 3M Model, but I've found it to be a good general guideline. Honestly I like mixing different PUA techniques to always keep it fresh. Next time I go out I'll plan out a couple of gambits to try.

One of my openers I use in clubs and bars is "Hey having?" And since I am a mover and a shaker and dressed like a cowboy "edgy" girls respond really good! and if not I always say "you know they don't charge a fee to smile in this bar, club, you know" and that what it takes to open the set..and then I follow with a cocky comedy comment!

One of my main wings is an RSD guy and he criticizes peacocking and other Mystery/Style material for being try-hard. Thursday night we found some sunglasses left behind at our table. I decided to wear them for the rest of the night, and I got great responses from guys (and gals): "You look like robo-cop." or "I love that song (Sunglasses at Midnight)." However, I don't think that I could pull off the cowboy look.

I agree with one of the previous posters that the 3M Model is still relevant because it gives you an easier model to remember. I can remember one of my best nights sarging. I had the voice of mPUAs whispering in my ear: "time to move from attraction to rapport" or "time to Kino-escalate and build comfort." Now if only I'd been getting enough IOIs to execute an effective bounce and move into S1...

Don't forget, that RSD began as Mystery's SD theories. But later Tyler change the name to RSD to compete with Mystery. From what I know, most of the material that RSD guys teach is to much theoretical stuff. To get the feeling of what really works out there, you need to get out and meet the world. Reading books is important, but 75% percent of all your knowledge you will get in from field experience. And you need to stand from the crowd to be notice. As I usually tell my students and friends "Don't be scared to get people's attention, because hot girls are among those people". Go out there...your chances of meeting girls increase greatly when you step out of your house. Drop the books and go practice your material...and don't be caught into the a particular methods...take what works for you from all of them!
