I've been talking on and off with a girl that works at the same company as me for a couple weeks now. I have her number and try texting her from time to time but rarely if ever get replied too. However, whenever we see each other at work she seems to be very comfortable talking to me. I probably only see her once a week but the interactions seem fairly solid.
At first, I imagined that I stuck her in the friend zone and she has done the same to me, I didn't want to cross a work boundary so I thought I'd play it save. However, whenever we talk she faces me directly, jokes, smiles, and fidgets even as if she may be a little nervous or possibly intimidated. If we are doing something, I'll often find that she'll be looking at me for no reason or shortly after someone said something as if I am to reply.
I thought I had built attraction. I'll neg her from time to time, and never seem overly eager to talk to her. I keep the conversation light and crack quite a few jokes. I have to imagine that she is attracted, BUT she never, or rarely replies to my text messages, and often I'll find her walking right past my office without saying a word to me (and she'll only have to go by maybe 3 times a week). Am I mistaking what I took as some interest for some office courtesy? How do I move this forward?
