    Default Alpha Lifestyle

Hey, I'm curious about the things guys are using and implementing in their lives to extend their "pickup" world into a more holistic viewpoint.

I preach something I call "Alpha Lifestyle." This is the lifestyle of the guy that doesn't have to focus on "pickup" because his life is in order - he's doing the things that put him in the zone of the "natural."

What are some of the essential elements of the "Alpha Lifestyle" for you?

One I consider to be necessary is always working on "emotional intelligence."

That's the ability to focus on understanding emotions, how they work, how to handle and direct them (in yourself and others) and not have to EXPERIENCE them just because a woman is riding that wave.

    Thoughts?

It sounds good on paper, but how you go about implementing the "emotional intelligence" is difficult. If we were able to master that, we wouldn't be on this forum in the first place. But I do agree with you on the point that emotional intelligence is key to attraction for women at least.

I'm still very new to the game at this point so I would say physical attraction would be something that most newbies like myself would be able to do easily without stressing over and is key to being alpha. I remember getting my first "REAL" haircut back in high school and all the girls reacted differently. I didn't even dress differently yet. Styling now become a way for me to define myself as a unique individual.

A way I believe that can help promote the "emotional intelligence" is if we get out butts off the couch or the computer chair and actually try going around the city and experience things. I'm starting to throw myself into more social situations so I can get practice talking to people. Once that's developed you can then develop your own pick up style and throw twists that make things more interesting.

Without being top alpha, I consider myself quite alpha (even though I am not tall, but you don't need to be).

I believe that I draw my "alphaness" from several sources:
    - I went to a top school and have a really good career.
    - I have a track record of attracting and bonding with exceptional women, but I do not need to brag about it (which is not easy when you have a big ego).
    - I am extremely easy-going and most people like me, I am someone they look up to
    - I am usually well-groomed, but I dress the way I want. My "peacocking" is very natural. I convey the message that I am above that silly game of conservatively following fashion. In any case, I developed my tastes with my sister, who was a model.
    - I am very entertaining, I have amazing stories to tell (and good gambits) and that makes people want to be a part of my life. Guys and girls.
    - I am a very happy person and this shines on the people around me. But I have high standards and I will not let other people eat into my happiness.

That is what I have worked and am still working on. The most important consequence of those characteristics is that other guys themselves often see me as alpha, but without being aggressive.

The underlying personality trait is that I am a very curious person. My curiosity led me to live a hectic life, and I can now draw on many experiences and stories (on different continents) to adjust my frame when I meet people.

It took me a while and I went through a lot of setbacks before becoming alpha.

BTW, I have a course where I do teach some of the emotional intelligence stuff... it's called Power Social Skills: Power Social Skills - Get Rid of Shyness - No More Social Anxiety!

I think curiosity is a big part of the healthy energy of the alpha. It keeps you from stagnating and turning into a myopic me-monkey. (I'm inventing some of this terminology...

I think another part of the Alpha is the ability to balance extremes. Like "easy going," for instance. If you're TOO easy going, you're going to get walked on and no woman will respect you. But if you're too uptight, you're a nuisance in social circles. It's calibrating and being fluid with your use of that part of your personality that yields the most.

It's all about portraying confidence but not cockiness! I find the best trick to seem confident is just let loose. Be what you're like with your close friends.

I think a bit of cockiness does go well but as long as you dont over do it and become arrogant or just a tit.

As for being an alfa.... Im no push over but I am currently going through some changes to become more alfa. Iv been shopping with a PUA friend of mine who is a stylist and model so my fashion is sleek and up to date (i dont do peacocking).
Im now working for myself witch gives me iner-confidence and portrays alfa-ness.
I have an active lifestyle, I go climbing, kitesurfing and I work out a lot.
I do need to work more on my life experiences for intresting topics to talk about, I am tho going away this year to live in the jungle for two months Bear Grills style!!
