Hey, hey, hey, guess who's on the forums right now?!

Over the summer, I read the Tao of the Badass, and I have found a good implementation for this. Since then, I've loaded up my brain with a sh1t ton of other stuff, but my approach to dealing with those sorts of people remains the same. I would have to say, compared to a 150 page book, this short blurb is good enough to teach you about the good unique details in Tao of the Badass.

I say unique because most of the other things Joshua Pellicer says can be found being sputtered out of the mouth of any typical PUA, professional and amateur. The only things that really caught my fancy in that book were the things that you mentioned, and the concept of creating and instilling love in a target.

In the end, I think this is some really great stuff. Good job Duke.

    Hey Duke, how's it going?

Great guide! For as much improved as I've gotten at PUA, joining mixed sets and acting like the AMOG while in it is still a weak aspect of my game. This guide is a great tool to help with that.

Edit-Welcome back Swagman! Are you back for good?
Always be honest with women. That's the true meaning of a PUA.

    @Swagman:

Welcome back! Hope your break from the forums was productive.

I'm glad you enjoyed the guide and I appreciate the feedback!

However, I do want to make it clear that this is not a ripoff of Tao Of Badass. I was using this approach long before I ever read Tao of Badass. The only thing I really took from that book is categorizing guys and the general categories he used provided the inspiration for the categories I created, but I added quite a bit to his characterizations and I went into far more detail on how to actually deal with these individuals. For instance, the characterizations of the "Antagonizer," are mostly taken from Robert Glover's No Mr. Nice Guy, while the traits of the "Cooperator" are mostly derived from Robert Axelrod's The Evolution of Cooperation. My concepts on value creation (while addressed to a certain extent in Tao of Badass)are mostly derived from Chase Amante's How to Make Girls Chase (which was the first pickup book I read after The Game).

IMO I made this guide much more practical than many of the PUA ebooks, which typically stick to theoretical game. After reading this guide you can go out and apply what you learned right away, using the lines that I gave you. I also focused on the logistics of doing so more than most PUA books do (save MM, which is probably the most easily applied PUA book available).

In addition, much of the terminology is my own and all the examples are personal anecdotes. I wanted to make sure that I gave concrete examples of each of the theoretical aspects I was talking about.

Basically, my point is that this guide is the result of an accumulation of tons of knowledge from personal experience and several other sources. (i.e., forums, books, videos, friends, etc.) Since I don't want to take credit for ideas that aren't my own, the books that had the most influence on this post include:

    • The Tao of Badass by Josh Pellicer
    • Mystery Method by Mystery (much of the body positioning was taken from here)
    • The Definitive Book of Body Language by Allan and Barbara Pease
    • The Evolution of Cooperation by Robert Axelrod
    • How to Make Girls Chase by Chase Amante
    • No More Mr. Nice Guy by Robert Glover

These are the books that I drew most of my inspiration from for this guide; however, this is only a small sample of the books that have guided my journey into PUA and life in general, so there are many other books that I haven't listed that likely provided inspiration for this guide.
