    Default Toronto Mall Sarging Debacle

This was posted on the twitter account of a major shopping mall in the GTA. Regardless whether you are familiar with Toronto, you guys might find this interesting:

    https://t.co/TMv74BIXoC

This is what happens when guys pay $5 for botched in field training by PUA wannabes. Consequently, some of the women that witnessed guys doing approaches over and over again in front of a forever 21 did some online digging and found some PUA groups on sites like Meetup and Reddit. Members of these groups would post times and places for upcoming sarges. These are publicly viewable groups btw. Upon their request, these Toronto meetup groups were taken down. A few local Facebook groups were shut down as well.

This is a related discussion on a Toronto blog from yesterday as well:

Something weird is going on at the Eaton Centre... : toronto

A couple takeaways that come to mind are:

Respect women and respect the game. Doing the same +20 approaches in the exact same location is going to draw unnecessary attention. In a day game setting, when you approach a woman and say something like " hey, I noticed you from across the store and I had to come talk to you. What's your name?" It has to come from a place of authenticity. You need to actually feel that way in order for it to feel genuine otherwise she won't buy it. Especially when she just saw you approach several other women with the same line. I'm a proponent of going out often and meeting tons of women but understand this. If you approach her from a place of inauthenticity your are going to get inauthentic results. Obviously everyone has to start somewhere but don't ruin this community for everyone else. If you approach a girl in front of Forever 21, do your next approach somewhere else. Don't keep doing your day game in the same spot a million times. Mix it Up.

Beware of joining sarging groups where the administrator/PUA guru asks you for X amount of $$$ each night to sarge with them. Do your research first. There are a lot of scammers out there. Also, this should stand as a clear example of why you don't post times and places for group sarges online. There are people that are trolling the internet for these kind of posts.

Anyhow, I look forward to reading comments and see what everyone thinks.

    Cheers,

    Dizzie

I think you are being too dramatic. 1) there is nothing wrong with pick up
    2) a $5 fee is probably to cover the membership dues the organizer of the group needs to pay to make the meet up happen
    3) a lot of groups are private, so members cannot be seen unless someone is a member
    4) everyone needs to take a chill pill- yes it's not standard for guys to go up to strangers but it's also not wrong

I do agree that some tact should be used because of how misunderstood pick up is.

Qoute from the original link- Call mall management. Report this to them and tell them it's creeping out their shoppers and making you not want to shop there anymore. They'll take care of it.

I just posted in a previous thread about NOT doing the sarging behavior in Malls, Water Parks, etc as it creates creeper status. And what happens? My point is proven to the T. Like I said you must not sarge Malls but be a customer, approach randoms while shopping, and all in all get in and get out. If you want to learn to sarge try a Bar or Club where sarging is welcome and appreciated. But when noobs go out sarging the Malls it puts everyone on edge when you don't know what you are doing. Malls are for advanced PUA's such as myself since I can approach chicks at the Mall while shopping since I am a customer approach usually one random girl and get them laughing. But when you do it over and over and over for hours on end you are disrupting the peace and this is not appropiate behavior that is acceptable to Society. Remember we are not free to offend people and when we offend bad things happen like this. But yeah all in all these are wannabe PUA's giving the PUA name a bad rep.

I do agree that some tact should be used because of how misunderstood pick up is.

The thing of it is it can be considered stalking or harassment which is usually breaking the law in most cases. When the contact is not mutual or warranted it is harassment especially in a public place like a Mall or Water Park. This is why you keep it clean, keep it fun, and get the fark out after a couple of approaches (for day game Mall Sarges). But yeah cdharders the girls are upset, there is nothing wrong with Pick Up. These noobs are inexperienced and doing the same thing over and over harassing girls at the same place thinking that's Pick Up that's not Pick Up that's a program/knock off of what they "think" it is. There is nothing wrong when you do it right but when you do it like this you are bound to cause trouble.

As a former student of Stylelife and a product of one of their bootcamps, I am a proponent of in field training. There's nothing wrong with pick-up but these guys are poor ambassadors for the community. I've met several women at this mall in the past and it bugs me to see a group of AFCs ruin it for the rest. Yes a little more tact is required. These guys are not being taught good game. No women in the right mind is going to give you a chance after she just saw you get shot down by 5 others. I have found using scripted pick-up lines during the day to be counter productive. Natural game is more effective for these environments and much more authentic.
