Default Challenging questions to create a deeper conversation

I was watching some seminars from 21convention yesterday. THey brought up the subject of asking challenging questions.

A common question that will come up several times when you're talking with people over all is, what they do for a living. The speaker told the audience they the best way to create deeper conversations is by asking questions that will get the person to think more.

Like. Do you do your work for passion or for money?

I had really fun trying this as I could clearly notice that people started to invest more and more into me.

What I want from you guys is more help to the develop the idea of asking challenging questions!

    Cheers, Kahn

Cool. When in doubt, you can ask "Why?" "How so?" and "Tell me more." Specific questions will depend on the specific set. Most people tend to not ask girls much about their future, so that's a good place to start. If you want the girl to feel invested in you, you really want to find out about her pains, fears, regrets, and hopes.

I used to (and to be honest, sometimes I still) have problems creating deeper conversations. I usually try to rather state than ask, because in this case I get instant reply and it give some energy for the conversation. But when I ask, I like asking challenging questions - but when I do it too soon, before dhv, creating enough comfort, girls just deny replying - because they should invest more to the conversation, when I ask deeper questions.

I like the simple "tell me 3 things about yourself", but you really have to use it in right time.
About wht you do questions: I've also watched James Marshall's speech (great one, by the way). I usually ask girls: what you wanted to become when you were a child? And I usually add a little DHV story about myself how I decided what I wanted to do now, when I was a little kid.
And yeah, it's good to ask girls to introduce you what she likes about this and that, why she choosed this and that etc.
