Smiling when you don't really feel like smiling, but because you think you should smile... that's where creepy smiles come from!

Creepy/unnatural smiling is worse than not smiling, do you agree?

I watched the video of Mystery and madador opening sets, I didn't find that they were smiling when they opened a set. Did you notice it? Any comment?

My understanding is that if you feel that your smiling will not be natural, don't try hard to smile. You can be just be yourself, but don't be sulky. Your energy level is better to be slightly higher than the set, just slightly. When you speak, speak loud enough for them to hear, but you don't have to be too loud. When you speak, you can pause, say first half of a sentence, pause for 0.5 second, and say the second half.

When you are excited and on a high energy level, you don't have to force yourself to be calm or be low energy, but if you are not excited, you don't have to force you to be on a high energy level. In one word, what you appear should be genuine and natural. Trying hard is certainly not genuine or natural.

This is a deeper inner game issue. Your confidence isn't there yet. It will come with time. It always comes with time... as long as your practicing.

People tend to mirror the look on people's faces they pass by without realizing it. There are plenty of studies that prove the easiest way to get someone to smile, is to smile at them. In fact, if you smile at someone and they notice it but don't process it, I bet you find they double take to make eye contact with you to smile. It's hard wired upstairs.

And as said, smile when you feel like it. As your journey progresses, you'll most likely find that your best pick ups were when you were smiling, it makes you personable. So smile at 7 out of 10 people you pass anywhere, say hi, and you'll find in time it doesn't seem as unnatural. It took time to feel comfortable riding a bike, it will take time to feel comfortable smiling if you don't feel comfortable already.
