Default Class Opener idea. Opinions needed!

    Hello everyone!

To keep it brief I am in a college class with assigned seats and fortunately enough I am permanently next to a pretty attractive girl for the semester.

Didn't get a chance to talk to her because the teacher talked the whole class ( messing up a brotha's game!).
However, I had a little thing I want to open with because I think it would be funny.

Here's my idea (This isn't it word for word. I won't write out a script for this random chick).

Me : *Sits* : "Assigned seats, this brings me back to high school."
She : Responds in some fashion
Me: "It's not that bad, at least I'm stuck next to a pretty girl.
    She: *Blushes maybe?*
Me : "Hopefully you aren't crazy or have any annoying habits!"

    Conversations continues from there.

So what ya think? I like it. More than likely going to do it and post the results here.
Any other funny/bold ideas will be appreciated!

Hey Othello. Good to see you back around the forums!

Your idea could definitely work. Anything works if you have the confidence to pull it off. Go for it and see what happens.

As long as you get the conversation going, your opener worked. Keep doing some light breaks in rapport and qualify her on stuff outside of class.

    Update :

I was in a conversation with someone before she walked in so I didn't use my canned opener.

However, I made sure soon as she sat down to turn to her and say "Hey, how are you?" then did some brief Fluff talk before continuing my prior convo.

Simple but very effective. Talking to someone before her gave me pretty good energy and I can tell it'll be game on between us

Will keep posted if something significant happens.

Good stuff! So many guys want to use canned material and it's not necessary (especially in a school environment). Most of the time a simple hello or talking about what is happening in the class is the best way.

You can seriously pull SO many girls at college if you just smile allot, be friendly/social, and talk about basic stuff. The key is to talk about things you would talk to any random guy about but throw in some light flirting. I usually throw in some cocky/funny lines because that's my personality but any way you prefer to flirt is fine.

When you build some attraction by flirting and build a little comfort you go for the number then you make a move. You don't need to break it down into some equation by doing "this and that". The difference between the guys at your school getting girls and the guys that don't is the ability to hold a conversation and the ability to make a move when an opportunity rises. So many guys are too scared to get the number, then if they do, they are too scared to make a move when they are actually hanging out with the girl.

I like it. Simple and effective. Should do it soon though. Spontaneity is the key. Otherwise it could come across as something misplaced in conversation.

Update: Had a few more classes and I continually engage and warm her up to me. Problem is I don't want to become that typical in class only friend. This is a sticking point of mine.

I struggle with escalating after the first few interactions when it is ideal. I feel as though I am hitting the point where I must escalate the relationship to some degree or end up in the "classroom buddy" realm which is no bueno.

Any tips on how to avoid being just a classroom buddy? I need work on transitioning to getting the number to meet up outside of classroom settings.

I've had a similar case at my college, just that I wasn't warmed up to her that much (or not at all). We talked about the typical "classroom buddy" things.

At one point I was sitting in front of her and our exam results came out. I turned to her and spat out something like this:

"You know, judging by the grade you got I'd say you're not that good at maths. I'm a part time tutor and I'll help you with that so hopefully one day we can have smart babies that will conquer the world. I'm free this weekend, charge you 150% of the normal ones."

She laughed and after that little thing she was always so hyped when she saw me at class. Later on as the weekend approached I got an message from her calling me on an night out. Went out, it started to heavily rain ----> slept at her's place. To be honest I didn't want to escalate anything ('cause I used to see her every day at classes), she tried to cuddle through the night and then pretty much gave up and just slept on my lap. I ran out of her place as soon as I woke up.

Stand out from all the other class buddies and you should be good to go, be an exception.
