If your friends would not approve of who you really are, why are they your friends?

If they are really your friends, they should expect you to behave, act, be a specific way, if not, why are you hiding who you really are from your friends and/or family?

If you are being deceptive, who can you truly be yourself around? And if you can never be yourself, what kind of life is that?

Why do you care about what your friends and family think, if you are living your own life, for yourself? Are you living your life in the way they think you should, or are you living your life, for yourself?

if he is a real friend, you should be able to laugh about it together. (or he should at least be supportive of you)

if he's the kind of friend who judges you for going after what you want, then he doesn't belong in your life.

i would suggest you surround yourself with people who are positive, optimistic, and supportive of your goals.

And if you can never be yourself, what kind of life is that?
amen. life is all about carving your own path the way you want it.
