    Default Cold read as opener

    Hi guys!

I have started doing something that I havent seen alot of (or perhaps I missed it) and have had some decent success. I wanted your thoughts on if it is worth pursuing or how to enhance it.

I have been using cold reading as an opener (2 or 3 sets) and have had some success even using it on women by their lonesome. Here is an example conversation:

Me: Hi. I noticed you playing with your drink straw. You must be lost in thought. (I never use a cold read without linking it to her body language. I found that this increases my odds of a response dramatically. I also make the first read fairly benign as it is just to get her to look at me and break the ice)
Her: blah blah - asking something about how I guessed that or no response at all
Me: Body language tells others how you feel and right now:
*if she responded* - yours just changed to say you are curious about me
*if she didnt respond* - yours just changed to say you are cautious
Her: Usually a small laugh and they turn towards me. Where did you learn that?
Me: I go into my Push-Pull banter, DHVs, etc

Keep in mind this is just one example but I love using cold reads because they tend to build instant attraction. Any feedback on this. If its weak sauce I need to know so I can own it.

If you are having success with it, you must be doing something right. The opener doesn't matter, usually the nonverbals are what is most important. It seems that you are on the right track, keep it up!

Any good posts about cold reading still new to this.
