    Unhappy Laziness

FML! I'm 21 and in my prime, but what really keeps me from achieving my goals are lack of motivation and just plain old laziness. Anyone know of any quick fixes for this? Or maybe some long term solution. Please help, its ruining my life

    Hey, welcome to the forum.

    Here's some quick fixes :

    - You miss 100% of the chances you don't take
    - Watch Fight Club, more specifically, the scene where Tyler Durden has a gun and takes a guy out from a store and tells him that if he doesn't live his live, he will come after him and shoot him. Imagine you're the guy from the store.
    - Just get off your lazy ass and do it.

Long term, go for this : Stop Procrastinating

LOL purp. You're cracking me up. I'm curious, did you come from a privileged family? Just curious.

Anyway. Tony Robbins, "The Secret," and meditation. Look them up. Don't be afraid of self-help. Nobody else will help you but your self, so why should there be a negative stigma that we try to help ourselves? I used to feel afraid of this section in the book store. Then I came up with a new way of thinking about it.

I proudly walk into the self-help section, and I'm prepared to tell anyone who I find there or who enters after me, "I love the self-help section. We're not brave to be here, we're the informed and self-aware. Isn't it awesome what we can do with the power of our minds and just a little realignment of thought?" And then I'd actually say that if I ran into someone. I'd approach them and say it.

To make it work long term, you'll need to re-read, re-watch this stuff CONSTANTLY. the successful people in life don't let negative thinking or SLOTH ever enter their mind.

You have to live your life with focus and with a purpose.

To do that you need to write down your major goals (what you want in the next 5 years) and then write down minor goals that help you get there.

Then each day write a list of goals that will help you get you closer and closer to what you want.

Every area of your life will improve.
