    Default Dance Floor Game Question!!!

I read that when it comes to dance floor game, I'm supposed to be a stand-out, without becoming the "dance monkey". While I am a good dancer in general, my primary style is breakdancing, and when I'm at the club and that one song comes on, I can't help myself!!! So I guess my question is, by breaking, am I social proving, or putting too much energy into it?

go with timing(not too long not too short), the scene, the atmosphere. you want attention but you dont want to put in too much.

rook, you don't need to stand out to do dance floor game. honestly, you don't have to be a great dancer to even do dance game. the problem with break dancing and using it for dance game is that it doesn't really engage the girl - at least if you're doing floor work. i think you may be putting too much work into it but if you're having fun then don't let that stop you. i learned my dance floor game from a book called Dance Floor Game Decoded. Google it and i'm sure you'll find it. The guy even has some vids on his website flirt2thebeat dot com. Good shit there and the e-book rocks!

I'm completely new to this stuff so I won't profess to KNOW anything, but whilst I really struggle talking to girls, just about all of my recent hook ups have been from the dance floor so I might be able to contribute something. I can't dance at all, but at the clubs and bars I go to nobody really does (not sure what the night scene is like in cleveland). If you're pulling legitimate dance moves it looks like you're trying too hard. People are just on the dance floor to move a bit to the beat and sing along some. I tend to dance with my group of (guy) friends and make sure I dance with a lot of energy and keep smiling and just make it look like I'm having the best time. When a song comes on that I know the words to, I'll keep dancing and point to a girl, smile and mime the words while staring at her. She'll either smile back and keep dancing with her friends or come over to you and then the deal is sealed (at least for a kiss). The confidence to dance with her (even though you might look stupid, as I'm sure I do, but also not caring about this) seems to be attractive, though like I said I haven't been able to transfer this into conversational game...that's why i'm here!

Dude, if you're having fun and are good at it, use it to display higher value! It will put you up above everyone else in the venue.
    THAT'S RIGHT

I have to say, dance floor game is tricky, but the key is to look like you are having fun. Girls LOVEEEEE guys that are having fun.
For instance, (and it all depends on the atmosphere of the bar), I was with a bunch of buddies that I knew from college. We met up one night a few months back and headed to the college bars (at the same college we all graduated from). We got pretty tanked and were on the dance floor. The music was decent (mainstream kind of music). What we did was, we have two guys pretending to "double dutch" (when two people hold two jump ropes and spin them around). the third guy is outside the invisible jump ropes and hops in and pretends to do a double dutch. Then eventually a bunch of people join in. We had the ENTIRE bar jumping in. It automatically dhv all of us, and it was just an awesome time. Girls kept coming up to me and saying we were so much fun, etc.
As posted above, another good thing is singing along the words and dancing along. If a girl makes eye contact, sing along with her, and get in on that. Its so silly and simple, but it works for me.

Another thing I do is, as we all know, when a song with a "dance" comes on, I make it a thing to know the dance. Eventually, I look around the room , see which girl is doing the dance, and then I go over to her and dance off with her. Eventually this leads to her dancing with me later on that night.

I've had NUMEROUS girls just dance with me because I was just enjoying myself. Thats what girls like, fun. So they see it in a group of guys and join in. It may be tricky for a girl to join in on a break dance of course, but it can help DHV.

Oh, another good fun thing to do as a joke (and again, depends on the atmosphere of the place), is have one of your buddies take off his belt (or you), and use it as a limbo stick, Girls will get LOW on that. But the timing and mood in the bar has to be right. We always drag girls in on it and they are more than willing to join, just needed a little persuasion.
