Just thought I'd share an experience of mine today.
I'm a college student. I was in a revision class and our lecturer was absent. The rest of us continued to revise in the classroom, helping each other out with complicated finance problems etc. There's a HB9 in this class which never paid ANY attention to me since I joined this class a month ago. Anyway, one of my friends was asked about a question from another classmate, and he recommended talking to me because I already had the answer. After helping him out, it became apparent to most of the class that I was probably the most prepared for our mid-term. The girl suddenly came over and asked for some help. I helped her but kept getting asked by others for help. I negated her any time I had the chance, but remained very helpful. As I helped other people I could catch her staring at me curiously through the corner of my vision. At the end of the class I asked her if she could get back to me in the afternoon to confirm we had the same answer to a particular question. She eagerly asked for my email address but I quickly said "I won't be checking my email today [even though I clearly had my laptop with me], could I just give you my number?". She eagerly took it down and even came across as a bit anxious (the way I normally am when I'm intimidated by the attractiveness of a person).
Later on she texted me and told me to meet her to discuss the question. We talked about it but I made sure to only focus on talking about the question (to appear as if I wasn't interested in her). Then afterwards she texted me asking if there were any more questions I would like to discuss with her (even though I was the one helping her), so it was clear she was trying to invite me to talk to her.
Now she's texting me asking me if I'm going out after the mid-term etc etc.
The game is on!
