Issue with IOIs and IODs

my first post here, first of all i wanna say hey all, Im 22 from israel.
I have a dire need for help with this one girl, id appreciate any advice you can give me.

basically this is the situation: this is a girl that studies with me, we schedueled to study together, but i made a mistake of asking her if we can do also more than study, and see each other not just for studies. she looked at me with an embarrased look and said "lets talk later" and she said she will call me this sunday about studying together.

she didnt. for me? thats a clear IOD and i was about to give up.

but today in the class, i saw many IOIs from her. she laughed at my jokes (even the ones that werent that funny) she talked to her friend and giggled and i even heard her say "he makes me laugh", she started conversations with me and even asked about my personal life and hobbies. clear IOIs.

we schedueled to study together tomorrow, and i told her to call me and say if its going to happen or not, and she said "yeah ok i'll call you" but she sounded cynical, and to be honest i don't see it happening, just like the last time she said she would call and she didn't.

whats going on? Am I read IOIs wrong? Is this girl playing hard to get or just not attracted to me?

You're better off taking charge by calling her to set up an appointment to.... 'study'. Give her a time and place and ask if she's able to make that. Women want a man to do that. You determine the rules. I think it's too late to do so now because you'll come across as needy if you call her while she promised to call you. But remember that for next time.

The best thing to do if she doesn't call is to ask her out next time you see her. But do it in the same manner as I described above: take charge. Give her a time and place and ask her if she can make that. Make the first date something simple and cheap like having a drink, because in the pre-sex phase, emptying your wallet at expensive restaurants will convey that you're unworthy of her. And cinemas are terrible for any first or second date.

last week we said we would study together and she said she'll call on sunday, she didnt. 1 time is fine, 2 times and im out. next time as u said, i will take charge and initiate these things (but probably with another girl)

I think you should give it a try if you like her. You see, in class you're conveying traits she (and women in general) likes. For example, you make her laugh. And she's giving you ioi's for it.

Now, outside of class you're showing traits she (and women in general) don't like. You're giving the leading role to the woman by asking her to call you. And you're getting an IOD (flaking) for it.

So if you do what she likes (taking charge by asking her out) there is a good chance she is going to give you an IOI for it: saying yes.

It's all up to you. If you like her, it's worth a shot. The least you can do is learn from it.
