Hello,
I'm a senior student at university and I recently bumped into a girl I went on a date with in my first year. When we first met, we dated, almost slept together, but due to a number of complications (and bad moves on my part) she ultimately rejected me. Soon thereafter we remained friends but she jokingly said things like that she would never date a guy like me because I have one-night stands with girls and therefore would be likely to cheat. I sometimes tease her about comments like this that she’s made.
Soon after rejecting me she dated another guy from my university for around two years and we still remained in touch, meeting up for lunch or coffee every few months. We're quite open with each other about our lives.
I found out that she broke up with her boyfriend several months ago and she's been single since. I recently bumped into her coincidently and suggested we get together for coffee or lunch. I gave her my number.
Now my question is: Since we dated briefly a long time ago and it didn't work, and since we normally met for coffee only once every few months (I didn't want to meet her more regularly since she was happy with her boyfriend), how, in my next encounter with her, do I get her to want to meet with me again more frequently and consider the possibility of dating or sleeping with me? I’m afraid that if I don’t evoke some sort of signal or generate some sort of attraction I’ll be permanently suspended in the friend zone, if I am not already.
Please help!
