Routine or Canned & Material

Routine or Canned are often used interchangably, but have subtle differences. Canned means pre- made up stories, jokes, magic tricks, or scenarios used to build interest and approval in an opener or set, while Routine sometiems referes to the entire string of canned material you're going to use, along with phase-shifts and escalations beginning to end.
Material though self explanatory is the 'filler' often canned, sometimes actual stories or experiences that relate to the present circumstance that are going to help gain value, Comfort and eventually IOIs and approval/Escalation.
