| Now that I am married, I can share more of my 'dating' secrets. I stopped doing match and other dating sites because it became too easy to get 1st or 2nd date sex, but I wasn't growing my Pick Up Artist skills and decided I would rather be good with women in real life (bars, clubs, during the day, etc), then to just sleep with a large amount of random women online. I know tough problem to have, but stick with me... it's a true story. OK - Here is my advice for online dating. 1. NEVER wink. It is worthless online. 2. Send the following Email to EVERY hot girl you see - it is magic and short and simple and works. Title: Wow Body: "Hey, I just had to say that I find you incredibly attractive and love what you had to say in your profile. I would love to get together for a drink sometime and find out more about you. Talk to you soon, (your name)." That's it. Send the same Email to every girl you can. It works magic and is simple. Up to this point I've only shared this with a few of my friends. Paul (Married XPUA). | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| I've never really gotten into the online dating gig, but I just sent out 8 on plentyoffish.com. I'll let you know the results.

| Update: I've sent out 10 emails. Of those, 9 have been read, and of those, 2 have responded. That puts it at about a 20% success rate. Considering online dating is very similar to online marketing, I'd actually say this is pretty solid. When it comes to mass email or cold calling, anywhere from 2% to 20% is a pretty solid success rate. Just keep in mind that you won't necessarily get the "one and only" you might have been hoping for, so send this email out often. Good luck guys! BTW, plentyoffish.com is a free site, and most people on it are pretty passive. I don't have an account with a paying site, so I'd be curious if someone could test it out on Match.com or one of those. Seems likely that the success rate would be higher.

| Quick back story. I was sent this EXACT email from a girl a few years ago. It really caught my attention. And the title of "Wow" was great. I was so impressed, I used it as my default email... and got AMAZING results. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| I sent the email to 10 women, 3 days ago. I had 4 responses (so far) which was better than my prior email contact attempts. Looking forward to using this more... | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| I don't do online dating and I've been especially turned off since there is a lot of fraud at a lot of sites. However, I think this one is very good and I will keep it in my arsenal. Never know, maybe I will change my mind on the whole online dating thing. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I think i will try this out, I have just joined plentyoffish to try as i am currently laid up in bed with some mysterious illness However i thought i would share my generic email that i sort of just drummed up ten minutes ago, would be good to know what you guys thoughts on it were... "Hey, I cant help but feel i know you from somewhere, maybe we worked together or... oh thats right i remember now i saw your picture in the dictionary for the definition of beautiful, it did also say also see Stunning Ok so we have established that chat up lines arent excactly my strong point, but i can be forgiven right? i mean after all it is abit late on in the afternoon to be creative especially after a few beers Now that i have won you over... I will pose the question... Hows your evening going, anything exciting planned for the weekend ahead? x Maestro What you guys reckon, does it come across right? Cheers | |||||||||||||||||||||||

It sounds too generic and canned... but I will give it points for sounding all cool and casual. I believe I can supply better worded emails and private messages if I dig in my inbox enough... | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I'm going to try this out. But I'm going to add the girls username after I say "Hey". That way it seems a bit more personal. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Sorry Maestro, I see several things wrong with it. - Don't talk about drinking. (they might just assume you're just drunk writing them. Its not flattering. - Your first sentence sounds like a generic pickup line. Girls hate "pickup lines" - Don't ask to be forgiven about the stuff you write. - Don't say: "Now that i have won you over...". Its borderline arrogant (not to mention kind of creepy). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| For Facebook etc. First get yourself a nice picture and post it to your profile. Make your profile *not boring*. Next go to "friends of friends" and look for hotties. Read their profile, look at their pictures - if they'll let you. The real hotties won't give you very much to work with. You can use comments she made to your friend's post to edge into a conversation with her. Talk to *her* directly in your comments, nobody else. See if she responds. Write a short email or private mail mentioning something you've seen on her profile or comment to somebody else's post. DON'T add her as a friend - just yet. Disconnectors work well. They'll usually get you a reply. "Wow - you look scary. What's with that?". "You look OK for such an OLD LADY". "OMG - you wear that dress in public?" The trick is you've gotta' push/pull. You started with a push. She will usually reply just to be snooty to you. This time you pull - just a little. As soon as she writes back, you're having a conversation. Keep it going - talk about her --- any clues she gives you. Most girls will add you as a friend after the 4th or 5th email. If they don't - at that time you add them and see if they reciprocate. Once you're "friends" you should be able to find out more about them and use it to your advantage. If you've exchanged 4 or 5 emails and friended her and she doesn't reciprocate - move on. The disconnector works well to get a rise out of her and get an initial response, but online is different than the real world. You have to pull a bit more than you push. Always remember - another guy is only a click away for her. Get her to a real live meeting and get her addicted to you as fast as you can. Good luck.

| For the longest time I didn't put much consideration into the "Subject Line". Those days have changed as of immediately. Now I'm more inclined to believe they can serve a vital role in your success. Before I would use subject lines like: "This is my subject line" or "Curious to know more" Well no wonder they never got read. The subject line isn't compelling. It didn't create curiosity or anticipation. Below are some new one's I recently made up. SUBJECT LINES TO USE: Wait! You're about to MAKE a HUGE mistake! Don't do it! It's that time again. Fools rush in… Mixed feelings about writing this… Did you get a warning? Hey, you'd better stop that right now! Oh no you didn’t! - -- --- -- - This is the site that helped me realize this: http://www.internetdatingtipsformen.com/blog.html Last edited by rezn8; 02-08-2010 at 03:00 PM. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
