I agree, there is an attraction going on but she has a difficulty in making her way out from her shell to express her feeling for you. Be patient....

Well, the thing about rejection, I did feel that by not even wanting to give me the number, that she rejected me in a way that she doesn't want anything more from me than being buddies.

Haha. It's ok to sound arrogant, once in a while. Plus, you are just stating facts and possibly making her realize the silliness of hemming and hawing about the number. I think she really likes someone else though. Kissing you at that moment was okay, because maybe for her she could pretend later that it isn't real. But now that you're encroaching in her real world, she doesn't know if she should allow you to contact her so freely.
