Default The Sweetest Sound In The World - Dating Rule #12

The sweetest sound in the world.

Love, miss, honey, adore, admire, desire. Is the sweetest sound in the world one of these? Of course.. Not. People love to hear this word on outings, dates and gatherings, and it's universally applicable to everyone. When you've used it enough, and appropriately of course, they take a subconscious liking towards you. So, what exactly is this magical word?

Their name

Yes, that's right, it's the person's name that you're out with which is the sweetest sound to them. They've heard it all through childhood till now, and nope, they're not even getting close to dreading it.

So, do mention your date's name as often as you can without it overdoing it and making it seem awkward. Don't end at "Good morning", use "Good morning, (name)." Nor should you end at "Good night", use "Good night, (name)." This can be used in many various situations, but just remember to check yourself every now and then to ensure you're not overdoing it.

So, if the only times you've been calling out your partner / prospect's name is when you're jogging silently to the rhythm of his/her name (i might be a bit guilty of this here), then perhaps you should start making it a habit to use it more, of course of the appropriate amount.

Yours sincerely,
Desmond Leong

I agree with this one.

I've noticed that once when I was greeted with Hello, (your_name). It had a much bigger impact on me.

It feels that this person respects you and cares about you...

So I've started doing the same thing now. Usually when i greet a person or when i say goodbye.

Haha touche!
Who doesn't like to hear their own name yeah? I used to use it often enough with a girl everytime i bid her goodnight, like "Goodnight, Josephine", and after some time, she started to use it to me and goodness, it does sound nice, haha.

And here I thought the sweetest sound in the world is a woman moaning with pleasure, haha, kidding. But you're right, even guys like being called their name, or a pet name.

Haha thank you (: True, true, even i like my name being called, although i'm yet to find out if words like "dear" and "love" has a better effect, haha.

Some girls dig a man calling them 'sweetie' or 'babe' or 'darling' because it's really not so macho (for men) so it somehow implies sensitivity and tenderness.

Some girls, on the other hand, prefer being called by their names and not some generic endearment, thinking you call all the other girls that anyway.

Heh perhaps this can be used more when greeting people and bidding farewell. Use it on people you're not together with yet, but intend on wooing, haha.
As when you're in a relationship and are entitled to calling the other person "love" or "sweetie", it may be more effective than calling them by their names, haha.
