Asking a girl on a first date

A girl from the same town added me on fb last week, she gave me her number that night as she's not on fb very often. We've been texting every day, it seems to be going well and i've been asking her lots of questions about her instead of talking too much about me. By sunday night (14th Nov) it would have been nearly 2 weeks since we first got talking so im going to ask her out on a date, the only problem is what to say without seeming needy or pushy.

I was considering sending her a msg something like 'Hey _____ how are you, hows ur day been? Do you fancy meeting up sometime? You seem like a really nice girl and a great laugh and i'd like to get to know you better.'

Would really appreciate any opinions or tips or different approaches to asking her on a first date. Thanks. Tom.

Well if you feel that the text conversations sound engaging between the both of you it sounds like a good chance she would say yes. Now of course we get antsy and nervous on how to ask a girl but you can always start your text the way you did on your post and throw it out there to see if she wants to hang out. If you're not sure what to say then you can ask it in a way where she doesn't feel obligated. Like for example: 'Hey I am going to be getting some coffee at starbucks, if you want we can continue our conversation there.' Usually it helps on whatever you have on your own schedule and just throwing the suggestion if she would like to tag along. Good luck to you bro.

p.s. Do you guys even talk on the phone? Kinda curious if this has been solely on text.

I don't have anything particular on my schedule atm however I could find something and then invite her along, but if not i'll send her the original message. We've only been texting, I find some ppl are more comfortable just texting. Thanks for the advice it's always good to get other views.

I would not ask a woman out through a text unless it was completely unavoidable. If you haven't spoken with her on the phone, I would just call her and ask her what she had going on for the night after I called or even two nights after. She most likely anticipates you asking her out. If she does, and she wants to go out with you, she will let you know when will work for her. She may be a very busy woman, but no woman is too busy to go out with a guy who has earned her attention.

In your situation, I would just tell her I wanted to take her out whenever works best with her schedule. I would tell her when I was going to pick her up and get her address, if necessary.
