What is the best way to deal with rejection?

I am very lucky to have progressed as much as I have in a short time, probably due to chugging down so much material and putting into action, but I have an issue I can't seem to resolve, and that's rejection. I don't deal with it well. Sometimes I get kind of depressed about it for hours, especially if it's a girl I need to be around in the future for something. I know it's AFC for sure. Do any of you guys have advice on dealing with it? I believe I am more successful than not, but once in awhile, I text a girl and she doesn't text back (maybe it's not total rejection, but it's a slight), and it bothers me.

I don't want to become a cold, emotionless, unfeeling jerk, but I also don't want it to eat me up like it does. Usually I deal with it by doing well with some other girl, and that makes me feel good again, but I need to get to the point where I can deal with it effectively, quickly, and with confidence. Any advice? Where's the proper balance between being emotionally well-adjusted, and not caring?

True that. That's really my issue, I thrive too much on the validation of others. Thanks man, that helped, and I feel a bit better. I had a girl I thought was really into me reply pretty lamely to a few texts, then stop altogether, so I took a shot to my ego, and I let it bother me for a couple hours. It's really stupid, I've been rejected by prettier or more interesting girls and have dealt with it better. Then again, for all I know she really does like me and she is being shy. Either way, I shouldn't care.

Its all in how you look at it. Rejection is part of life and happens to us every day. If I ask you if you want a piece of gum and you say no you have rejected me. However the reality is that your not rejecting me your rejecting the gum. So shift your thought process (and I know it takes time) to she isn’t rejecting you but she is rejecting that approach. Its not personal, stop making it one. Recognize it as a fact of life and that you can still interact with people who show you rejecting. Just go about it in a different way.

I promise even the best still get rejected. You just learn to deal with it. That’s the difference.

If their not replying it could mean alot of things like her phone died, she ran out of credit (if she is on a pre-paid plan) or she is rather busy and simply forgot. Dont overthink about it.

All of that is true, thanks guys. I thought better of it. This girl gets a dang lot of attention from guys, and she is known for such games, and I let myself fall for her spell for a bit. I'm just going to do my own thing, and if she wants to text me soon, good for her. In the future I am going to take a better Mindset to rejection.

One other question: How can you tell the difference between rejection and a "s**t test?"

When you try to push through it you won't be able to.
