How Long Should a Date Be?

Hey guys,

Just wanted your input as to how long a date (with no f close) should be. I usually plan 2 things and stick to it. When it's time to go, the girl wants to do more. They ask me if we can get coffee, or if I want to go here or there, or they sit in my car and will not leave for a long time while we're in the driveway (tonights case). I think maybe my dates are not long enough. Tonight's was about 3.5 hours, I thought that was pretty long. Would it be ok if I did like, a 5 or 6 hour long date?

Also, and I know this is an entirely different subject, but, how long would you date a girl before you ask her to be your GF? 3 dates? A month? I'm not saying I ask a girl to be my GF after 3 dates. Also, have you guys ever had this weird issue where a girl almost naturally becomes your GF? I think this is kinda happening to me. Not saying I don't want it to, but I don't want to jump into something and I am trying to get an idea for a proper time frame.

Well the first part I would say 3 hours is a good length. You don’t want to get trapped and you can always extend the date later. Also avoid common things like dinners and movies. Im sure you know this but if you do food make it different not just sitting across the table from each other.

As far as the second thing: I think it just depends on what you want. I have been dating and amazing girl for almost 8 months now. I met her through the game and she knew me as a bit of a player. When I first starting dating her it was about 2 months before I called her my girlfriend. In the mean time we enjoyed our time together and still went on other dates and whatnot before we considered ourselves in a relationship. I would say for me, at least a month. But it is totally up to you. If its right then its right. And if I have learned anything from the game its that you cant fight love.

Thanks a lot, I thought 3 hours was good, but girls want to keep going. I like to end it when they are begging for more, then text them an hour after, they're always flirtatious and want to talk then.

This girl I went out with last night is unbelievable. It's our first date but I feel like I've known her forever, and kissing her felt right, and she escalated faster than me at least once. I only have time for 1 or two dates this week, and I am going to go out with her. I don't even care about the others. Our conversation is like drawing water from the ocean - we could talk forever and never run out, and she always genuinely laughs at everything I say even if it's not that funny. And she is wicked interesting herself. I noticed she hasn't logged on her POF since we stopped messaging each other and she has dropped every other guy she was considering after meeting me for only 40 minutes for a quick bite last week. That made me feel great. I don't know, maybe it's oneism, she is an HB10 but I don't feel nervous with her or get anxious, I feel relaxed. It's so weird. And she's real supportive of my direction in life, and all my goals, I love that, and how she is real feminine.

Thats great dude just keep a few things in mind. First you have to hold onto your current frame. Dont loss the alpha male role you have established. If you do you will become needy and drive her away. Second, if she is "perfect" i would go at least one more date this week to try to compare her to make sure your not just lusting after her.

Haha, I hope not, I hope I don't get anything like that, or oneism, but I do like her. However, I have a problem. She lives about 40 minutes away, in the utter middle of nowhere. There is nothing to do. I can't take her to all the cool things I normally do with a girl, there are no cool bars there or anything. Not even a theatre or museum (and she works in a museum and knows all the art museums by heart so that wouldnt work anyway). I am utterly lost for date ideas. Add in the fact that it's so cold here in Mass. this time of year, so outdoor dates are near impossible.

Actually, I got an idea from... Tyler Durden of all people while Google searching and coming across his blog. It is The Adventure Date. Where you just go from place to place, on an "adventure." Basically, it's a bunch of randomness over the course of 4 hours or so, and it's supposed to give a girl the feeling of having known you awhile, because she has been with you in multiple settings. I'll try to culminate it once the sun goes down around a dark, old castle. Should be romantic or something.

Ok, update 2.. After texting for hours last night, she wants me to hang out at her house... that solves it. Yay!
