Default Playing the field without burning bridges?

Hey guys, so I've made the possible mistake of setting up 4 first dates for myself within this month and may have a problem. I've been pretty good with selecting these girls and there may be girlfriend potential in at least 2 of them. But when it comes time to make the choice, is there a way to let the other girls off in such a way that I don't burn bridges with them? If I was to try something and it ends up not working I'd like to be able to go back to the other girl(s) and try with them. Especially because this isn't a scenario where one girl is empirically "better."

I'd rather not have to start off from scratch again, as I've connected well with 1 I saw recently, and expect to have another good match this weekend.

Is it such a betrayal to tell a girl that you've decided to go with someone else that there's no recovery? Can this be done?

Don't tell her its another girl. Make up something important in your life, better yet if you have any hobbies tell her you want to focus more on them for awhile and you can try again later. It shows your passionate for something, she'll understand and want you more.
