So I'm a consultant for marketing groups and today I swung by this company to pick up a few items to bring back to test prior to a sale pitch next week. The woman greeted me at the front door and she had a pretty nice smile. So I start a conversation:
Me: Hey, how's your day?"
Girl: Pretty Good.
Me: I bet better now that you aren't responsible for looking after this stuff
Girl: smiles at me*
Me: Alright, just sign this form (it states they given me the stuff).. by tomorrow, your house and assets will belong to me
Girl: is this how that works? *big smile, sarcastic
Me: yeah, before you know it, I may own you too.
Me: off to work, Bye for now.... (leaving her hanging)
4 minutes of leaving: *phone rings*.. the receptionist forgot to give you a letter, please go back.
Upon my return:
Me: you just wanted to take a second look of me eh? Wasting my gas...
Girl: I'm so sorrryyyy, *looks deeply into my eyes *touches my arm
*Another employee walks into the room*
Employee: what's going on hereeeeeee?!
Me: This bad receptionist forgot the paperwork....
Employee: I guess she is going to have to owe you a coffee now.
Me: I guess so...
Girl: blushing and speechless*
Me: next time, I'm working now. *walks away
So I build good rapport and I build a reason to see her again. Mistake on my part, I never got her number. THOUGH, i did get her full name on the form. so I found her on facebook and messaged her this...
"Alexandra! thanks for getting me in trouble today.. totally joking. so if I had a longer break, I totally could have used that coffee you owed me.
Nice meeting ya, see ya again for that coffee soon. what's your number?"
- Ted "
I don't know the outcome yet, she hasn't "read" my message yet according to facebook.. but I will followup...
any comments, feedback, questions? anyone want to predict what will happen? make this a learning opportunity from mistakes and good parts of it.
