Vicodin - AMOG at its finest!
Setting - large event (50+ people) in Jersey. I'm already very well known, so my value was pretty high from the start. The coordinators of the event gave me a personal thanks for my effort in helping put the event together, so that was just icing on the cake. Anyway, I was working a 3 set; things were going well. There was a guy that was hitting on every female (very poorly) in the house and he was getting pretty annoying and a little aggressive. Kept an eye on him because I don't like that sh1t and neither did anyone else. Three scenarios:
A - Getting aggressive with 3 girls and they were getting very uncomfortable; I excuse myself from my set and walk over looking right at him:
Him - Hey, man! What's your name?
Me- Don't worry about it.
Him - OH, OK!
Me (ignoring him; to the girls) - Come with me.
They beam, get up, and follow me while he's left with two of his friends. My target saw this (woot!)
B - This time, we're outside ready to go and he's trying to AMOG me:
Him (while looking at me) - THIS GIRL IS THE COOLEST PERSON HERE - THE REST OF YOU SUCK!
This is where eye contact became VERY important. I look him in the eye as he says this and take a step closer to him. He maintains eye contact for a short time and walks away from the girl. She runs down to me - target sees and hears everything. At this point, there are around 20 people with us.
C - Shortly after, I'm back with my target, but she's still a part of the 3 set. I have the crowd following me at this point, so the 20+ are around as well and it was time to make our way back. He starts making one of the female coordinators extremely uncomfortable and about to get aggressive with her. I see this as people are telling me what's going on. I walk over and he's in her face with two of his friends behind him:
Me - Hey, man - I never got your name!
Him (backing up; losing energy) - I'm AFC.
Me (extending my hand) - I'm Vicodin - great meeting you, bro.
Him ( takes my hand as I give him a very firm handshake) - Yeah, same. I...uh...gotta go (I think I really hurt his hand).
Walks away along with two of his friends. Social proof? Check. Value? Bet your ass. Alpha? You tell me
Eye contact tends to work better than words. I wasn't friendly with him at all, but I didn't come off too aggressive. I didn't focus any attention at him and that hurt his value. I didn't lose my cool once and waited for him to make a fool of himself to raise MY value. At the end, he was caught off guard because I went through with an olive branch of sorts...and crushed his hand, but the rest don't know that
As for my target, her friend told me she's into me, so I'm expecting a fun weekend
Always leave her better than you found her.
