Default Unusually STRANGE cold approach (HB7)

    INTRO

Alright men...its been over 9 months without engaging High Value targets (HVTs) so I lowered my bar and decided to start out by opening an HB7 right outside my apartment.

    Encounter

Its around 5 pm local time...I am headed out my apartment to get in my car and here I see a blonde in an Air Force uniform in a Acura parking opposite side of me. As I am exiting my apartments, she is on her way to the same entrance that I am exiting from so the face to face meeting would work out perfectly timewise.

Me: Hey! How are you? (with a BIG BRIGHT SMILE)
(HB7 stops and looks at me over her shoulder and I knew this was going to become a problem QUICKLY so I repositioned myself right in front of her but she STILL decided to keep her body pointed away from me)
    Hb7: Fine....thank you.
    Me: Hey..can I get a female opinion?
(HB7 has a bunch of books held tightly in her hand and she has very confused look, like a look of concern, has heavy makeup, and has her shoulders shrugged tightly into her neck)
    Hb7: Yea, whats up?
Me: Well, I am just getting ready to go rescue my friend with girl problems and I would like to know if you would ever date a guy that is still friends with his ex?
    Hb7: (Sigh)...well depends....yea I guess why not?
Me: This is actually a two part question. Lets say you are dating a guy thats still friends with his ex and you decide to move in with him. When you move you decide to help him clean and find a box full of his ex's pic next to his bed.
Hb7: (cuts me off) Oh I would get rid of them!
    Me: Guess what she did?
Hb7: What? She burnt them and destroyed the whole apartment!
Me: Well...she did including the carpet (I pointed at my apartment...BIG farkING MISTAKE) ..and you know whats really sad?
    Hb7: What?
Me: She burnt some of the pictures of his family that she didnt know.
Hb7: Well..that really sucks. I am actually divorced myself..been there and done that. (this is where it actually gets really weird) She looks down, looks away, and starts walking off without saying anything.

Well, as always, what improvements do you guys recommend here. This is really farking weird, her walking off looking all lost. I wanted to transition the conversation into a different routine..maybe the "the cube" game or something but she didnt give me the chance. I think i did several things wrong on my "first" try in many months but not sure exactly what?

Hey man, well I think it may seem a little odd to her that you are randomly walking through a apartment complex and start asking her advice, yes I understand it is supposed to seem to her like you are just needing to get her opinion but to me it seems like if I were this chick, what is this dude just walking around the apartment complex looking for the first female he sees with this prepared question about his friend? Maybe she thought it was prepared, or that you were strange. Now on the good side you got her to react really good when she said oh well I would dump him, I would have just said, huh that's interesting, then sort of transitioned into other things, maybe mentioned her books and said something like, "Wow are you starting a book club?" or something along those lines. Sounds like a good experience though, in my opinion good thing she did have issues cause the whole clown caked makeup is a huge boot to the curb for me

It is a bit strange indeed. But I think the convo took a shift when you said "Guess what she did?" It seems like you were already starting to close up the convo at that point rather than transition.

The other part was "and you know what's really sad?" Umm....you're kind of suppose to put her in a good mood. Not a bad one. It's suppose to be a fun conversation and a mentally stimulating argument. That's why whatever she says (Oh I would burn them!) you have to challenge it. Ask her why she said that and maybe even tell her your opinion (which just so happens to be opposite of hers). Telling her "and you know what else is sad" is simply you telling her a story that you were finishing up yourself and she knew it. Plus it put her in a seemingly depressed mood.

Good attempt though. Lots of guys are still dealing with aa. Try and assume attraction when you are first talking to them. This may help you not to try and get out of the convo subconsciously like you did here. Maybe you lost confidence and didn't know where to steer the convo so you began to exit and kill the convo smoothly. Regardless it almost seemed like she walked away on cue.
