alright mid afternoon I FB messaged a chick i crushed over 2 years ago and haven't seen since. We'll call her M. Cool HB8--great personality, super well grounded. I think emotional she's the right kind of girl i want in my life--I'm not really fond of the direction she's taking but--thats not my life. Shes the kind of girl I could talk to for hours--in fact we have.. 2 years ago.
So I hit her up, got a reply later saying shes actually in the same town as me for a week. I try to swing the conversation back to meeting up to Isolate and escalate. She seemed down for it but she already had prior commitments to a convention (Basically it was a meeting spot where a lot of failed occupys started to reform their activist efforts) she's part taking in in which that very day there was a free event she was going and that I should join. So i killed 2 hours and left to see her. Picked her out of a crowd almost instantly aside from the new hair cut. Still cute as ever.
we try to catch up but don't hold it very well because there are speakers at the podium (speaking about the federal reserve, organic foods, student loan debt, etc, etc, etc). Everytime I suggest relocating she never budges--its fine, no reason to go crazy. Eventually she tries to go out and get her phone charged and sign up for some more stuff through out her week. She comes back half an hour later as I'm chowing down and talking to someone. I scoot next to her and we do small talk for a few mins and then she leaves again. Doesn't phase me.
as i sit there for a minute this really stunning woman sits next to me on my right. Let's call her W. i ask her name, she responds with it. i introduce myself and turn it into a game to see if she could guess the spelling. the reason why i do and why it happens so easily is because my first and last name are verbs. people get excited trying to figure out what my name is, how to spell it and its witty because its simple, not complex and eye opening. i'd tell you guys what my name is... but lol this is the internet haha. to give you a breakdown of my first name its a verb you do with your body. i make her guess, she fails 3 times and gets it right on the 4th. i then clue her that she could probably guess my last name too... and so it goes.
after the name game i switch the topics saying "I know this sounds like an interview but what do you do?" she answers vaguely by saying she does a lot of things. I go with it. I use James Marshall's technique of just shutting up and let the girl talk--and she starts to talk more. Didn't have to say anything for 5 solid minutes as she was trying to qualify herself to me as I did an occasional head bob to let her know i understood and a smile to exert positive feedback. i gave her my 2 cents on what i thought and then briefly described what i did. at this point M shows up. I introduce the both of them together. in which i was literally in the middle between these two great looking women. lol, social proof was easy!!!!!!!!!!! didnt even have to get up!
from here we all talked about M's background, how M & I are moved from LA to this city. roughly 5 mins into the conversation we realized that there was a lot of dancing in which it was now a dance game. 15 mins later dancing ended and W was on her way out. I asked for her FB but... I fell through with asking how to spell her last name. I blew that. if she remembers me and adds me that'd be interesting... oh well.
As for M, I hung around so she had a ride back. In doing so we talked about what's happened in the time we've not seen each other. Everything is still pretty new to me about her--and its funny because we naturally get along pretty well. she mentions being creative--i inquire, she responds in depth about it. i ask her to come by my art studio so we could collaborate. eventually we switched topics, she found her ride, i reminded her to hit me up before she leaves.
..too be continued. lol. anyways, if you have feedback to give me cool. i know i screwed up on the FB close. maybe i'll try to sneak that in earlier or something--open for suggestions. lol.
