Default Opener practice, breaking the ice and getting over shyness.

I went out with a friend of mine and his girl to go finish up a mini beer tour at Old Chicago. The hostess and our waitress were both not bad at all, I'd give them a 7-7.5. I started trying some cocky-funny bits with the waitress based on what she said and what her preferences were as far as the beer involved went, and added a few negs. She did respond positively, but still was off to other tables quite frequently. Also pulled the jealous gf opener on her, and we had some rapport for a little while. I think if I become a regular there I could definitely keep this going. My main goal here was to get over my sticking point of overthinking the approach, and starting a conversation. When I got up to use the restroom, I walked by the host stand, smiled as I passed the hostess and on the way back stopped and opened again with the jealous gf bit. If it had been a little slower, and she didn't have to go seat people coming in I think I could have carried it a bit further. I think I feel pretty good about opening, but it's the Fluff in between that I need to work on now, as well as other routines. I think this will get a lot easier when I try it in a different setting where I'm not trying it on women who are busy working and have more time to talk. Any suggestions or comments would be great, appreciate the feedback.
