Default What comes after the opener?!?

An Opener should only last 20-30 sec max. What comes after? A NEG? DHV?

Im talking about doing an opener to a single girl not a set or group of people

Whatever you want my friend... Like I already posted on a page. The goal is to control the situation and direct it where you want it to go. So however you want to take it from the opener is all up to you. It can be DHV story, magic trick, a gentle neg (not a fan of negs unless your truly a beginner), ESP routine, palm reading, anything you can possibly think of can come next. The key is what comes next needs to direct you in the direction your wanting things to go. I.E. to get a number, k close, f close (if you f close on the first night shes probably not quality), make a new friend, build a pivot. Its all up to you. That is my favorite part of the game. I make the decisions.

With that being said, how do you go about transitioning smoothly? And would you respond differetly if she shows an IOD as oppossed to an IOI?

Its most often going to be an IOD or just regular interest in conversation. Not necessarily an IOI for the close. The goal with the opener is to just break the ice. Also you dont need a time limit per say. I mean the common one people seem to quote is the two girls fighting over some scrub outside. Well if you make that story interesting the opener will go from just breaking the ice to general conversation.

And IMO the only smooth way to transition from the open is however your comfortable. When you open a group in your beginning phases of PUA you will get shut out a lot. Dont let it get to you. By not letting it get to you it allows you to master new openers, build yourself DHV stories, and just learn what works in certain situations.

The best advice I have to you is read field reports on here and get a handle of the situation. Then you will have some sort of ammo to use if you encounter the same thing.

That being said an example of a smooth transition using a fairly simple and common opener on anyone, groups or single people would go something like this.

PUA: I dont mean to interupt but I need your attention for a minute. My friend blah blah blah....

HB: (will respond with an answer to what ever you say because your helping her feel comfortable by giving the false time constraint as well as not showing interest in her... Just sparking a "short" conversation.)

With something like that no transition is neccessary because the opener is doing multiple things. Your weaving further conversation and forcing a reply which is what the opener should do.

If your opener is giving her the opportunity to not speak you need to adjust your opener. IMO.

Edit: The opener isnt that important for the record. Do not focus too much on this as anyone will tell you who has any sort of experience on here or elsewhere. The key is to pick up on what she wants to talk about. I just read a post and a guy put it great.

If a girl says I just got back from brazil on vacation visiting family. She gave you 3 things to talk about.
    Vacation, Brazil, Family.

And a million other ways to go from there. Just get her talking and then listen. Dont focus too much on your open. Just thought I would throw that in there.

    Hope it helps.
