Default should i go for it?

so theres a really cute friendly girl in my area that i'm pretty sure i could get in most situations, the problem i have is that she used to work with my ex and both come from really near each other, i really like this girl (this isnt one-itis, just think shes hot) but dont know whether i should go for it or if its too risky considering her connections to my ex

I guess it depends on your current relationship with your ex. (And how long she's been your ex)
If you guys are on good terms, it probably wouldn't be a big deal. BUT... if you're like most people, there's still unresolved animosity hanging out there, & it can cause complications for sure!

That happened to me early on after my ex & I split. The thing is, she didn't even know the girl I was talking to, but still managed to cause too much drama.

So, either way I guess it's worth a shot, if you think she's hot enough.

Just know going into it ahead of time, that the potential is there for unwanted Bullsh1t.

well we broke up a few months ago but she is already seeing someone new, there is quite a bit of bad blood between us as she treated me like crap and i only stood up to her after we split, shes not in the area now so i'm more concerned about whether the new girl will think that she shouldnt hook up with me because of them knowing each other for a long time, am i just overthinking this?

    I gotcha!
That's kinda how it was for me too. AFTER the split things went ballistic for a while, and we're JUST NOW starting to be cordial.

Here's what I've discovered in my experience:
If you hook up with a girl & she's into you, it doesn't matter what her friends say, as long as it's AFTER you're "together".

BUT... if she starts talking friends BEFORE you hook up/get together, then their influence can be more of a factor.

Once a girl makes up her mind & decides to do something, and takes action... she's going to stand firm with her decision because she doesn't want to be wrong. She'll rationalize it in her head & be downright stubborn, just to prove that she made the right decision.

Even if that means, hooking up with a friend's ex BF.

(Women don't use logic in these instances.... it's her emotional side that controls that.)
