    Default Your First Approach

    Hey Gentleman,

This is my First post on the PUA Forums, so I hope I posted this in the right place. I am 20 years old, and I recently got out of a 4 year relationship so I can easily say I haven't had much time to develop my "Game". I am having a hard time getting over my AA, so I started this thread in hope that I will get courage to do my first approach. In the mean time I am hoping that someone somewhere will tell me about their first approach and how it went.

    Thanks a lot,

    Total Eclipse

My first cold approach was on a HB 9 working the front dest at some spa. I really was just approaching with the soul intent of working to get over AA, and I ended being very direct. Looking back, it was a very poor set and one I would heavily critic. I ended up being kinda awkward and was not making good eye contact at all, but I guess I was at least competent and funny/witty enough because she gave me her name and told me to add her on Facebook, despite having a boyfriend. We ended up meeting for drinks once, but seeing as how I was so new to game I just ended up being friend zoned. That outcome was a good confidence booster in many ways even though I didn't f or even k-close because it made me significantly more comfortable knowing that approaching random HB's is not nearly as bizarre or creepy as my fear and AA made myself believe. From then on I gradually shed my AA even further with every approach. You just have to go out and approach and you'll get over AA.

    Default Re: Your First Approach

My first actual approach was with a HB7 at the bar inside a club. I was a little tipsy at the time, but I was just looking for someone to dance with. So I saw her dancing near the bar with one of her girlfriends. After she turned back towards the bar, I approached from the opposite side with a small smile and a simple "Hey, how's it going?" The conversation was short, and I didn't build up enough rapport with her for her to be comfortable enough to move away from her friend and to the dancefloor. I cut loose quick and walked away kind of discouraged, especially because after that I saw my ex-girlfriend dancing with some random dude.

But seeing her dancing with another guy kind of motivated me to just hit the dancefloor and enjoy the music. So I made my way to the dancefloor and danced - genuinely enjoying the music by myself. I "accidentally" bumped into one female, an HB5, who was dancing with her two friends and I said "Whoah! Show me what you got!" and began to bust a move. She replied with a move of her own and we danced together for the rest of the song. That built up my confidence.

Not more than a song later I opened up a set of 6 females on the dancefloor, isolated one of them HB8, and got a number close.
