Default any ideas for an opener for girls at the gym?

Just joined a gym and There are some hot girls who are really fit there. I'm just so stuck on how to open them because I have no idea what to say, also they always have headphones in their ear so I'd have to repeat whatever I said because they wouldn't hear me then I lose power cause what I say isn't important if It isn't heard. I want to approach but not sure how in a gym situation

Honestly if you are gonna hit on chicks at the gym I would stick to these rules:

    1. Get in somewhat decent shape. If you're a slob at a gym its not good. You don't need to be a huge steroid guy that's opposite to the point. Just normal nice decent shape, so it looks like you are trying.

    2. Face time, go at the same time so you constantly see each other.

    3. Try and make eye contact and smile. Especially if they have head phones in. Turns your cold into a warm approach.

    4. Once you get some facetime, if there are using a guys machine you can go over and ask them how many sets they have left (casual), then try and strike up a convo

    5. Leave or arrive at the same time as them

    6. The water fountain is a decent spot, especially if its a busy gym and there is a small line.

-- I have had many instances where I have seen decent looking chicks at the gym, and it almost feels like they are giving me the cold shoulder. Only to see them at the bar and they are come over and introduce themselves and start flirting. So I find it hard to read the vibes of a girl there.

I've been going to a gym for a long time now and have always thought about approaching women when I am there. I've always been very shy and have relied on my good looks to get women, but that usually only helps me get first dates!

I have started being more social at the gym. Every time I go to the gym I always talk to the staff there. This helps me look more friendly and social and I also use them to work on my conversation skills.

Anywho, my gym has a room with no weights and mirrors on the wall (where people usually do stretches and their own thing). I always go in there after my workout. They have speakers there where I can play music. I always hook my phone up to play music and if there is someone in the room I always ask them if they are okay with me playing music. If they seem friendly I proceed to make a joke about the type of music I listen to and use whatever information they give me to fuel the conversation. If I walk in and there is already someone playing music I play the same game kind-of in reverse. However, this won't really work if you don't have a room like this with speakers.

The other thing I do is if I see someone doing something interesting (kick-boxing, handstands, stuff like that), I approach them and tell them I find that stuff interesting and that I'm into similar stuff. I ask them if they can teach me some moves, etc.

I find it terribly hard to approach anyone on a treadmill or in the middle of any exercise - and I don't think I would, as the other person would probably not like this (however, if a girl approached me in the middle of my exercise I would love it).
