Question Need help-lockjaw during day game approach

Hi, I am a complete newB to the art. I've decided to give day game a try since the club scene has not been treating me well since losing my top wing (moved). I find it difficult to work well in a nightclub/bar environment solo but I'm sure many do it well!

Anyways, back to the problem. I'm currently following Neil Strauss' rules of the game challenge and already struggling on day1. I approached 3 girls today, two was very minor introductory stuff and prob barely passed the 1 minute mark. I am having problems with godamn lockjaw right before the approach, almost as if there's a million incoherent thoughts in my brain and I can't seem to pick anything to say that is even mildly interesting or relevant to the situation were in ( today i was at a bookstore/coffee shop)

I really need some help/advice. Was in a LTR and I'm sick and tired of just mainting the AFC status.

ps- ive read alot of incredible stuff on here, keep up the great work and best of luck whatever your goals may be

Figure out what you are going to say before you approach, that way you won't have competing ideas in your head and hopefully get rid of the lockjaw. I quite like this, I use it when I'm wearing my green, drop crotch chinos cus they are quite out there.

Me: hey, can I get an opinion on something, I'm getting a lot of funny looks today, so was wondering, do u think my chinos are a bit too out there? Or is it just that middle aged people disapprove of them?

HB: noo, they are quite cool actually where did u get them?

that's the sorta response I usually get, u can transition from there to pretty much anything

P.s. obviously substitute the chinos for something you are wearing
