My mind is seeing this as a chance to build a great personal routine. I mean come on, run with this.

I do MMA, in fact I was thinking you would make a great MMA fighter.

    Her: oh no I wouldn't..lol.

Option 1: Look at those legs, those are gymnast legs you could kick the crap out of someone.

Option 2: You seem dangerous to me, let me see those arms, (squeeze them). Wow, impressive, the are harder than mine. (have her squeeze yours.)

    Her: You have nice arms

Transistion: Ok, let me show you a move (turn your back to her show her how to apply a rear naked choke on your and hamm it up. Call for security or even better your mom.) Oh my goodness you're a natural bad ass. Now are you all brawn and no brains, I hate meat heads. (sly smile)

I did boxing and MMA for the past year, was always a dhv for me. But the suggestions are right, let them pry it out of you

Instead of listing it, when they'd ask if I want to do something I'd be like "well I have boxing till 8 but I can hang out after that",
To dhv you want to mention things that make you cool as an afterthought, don't tell her you practice fighting all the time, if it's general you can say you work out at an MMA gym maybe, but let her pry the details out and tell her it's a fun hobby, focus on how much you enjoy the training, talk positively about it
Never need praise, sympathy, or approval
