    Default social proofing

sup guys.. so i was wondering, what should i talk about to the first group of people i encounter when i enter a club? its not meant to pick them up, just to UP my social proof?

because usually me and my m8s dont talk to anyone if we don't know them (unless we trying to pick em up), but we just have fun, and try to get people involved in the dance floor etc (is it still good social proofing?)

Ask them how they know each other. Talk about things you observe. Introduce them to other people is a big tool I use, even if I don't know the other people. Find out about their inside jokes gets you in their social circle deeper than just basic chit chat.

thanks man , and when you mean things you observe, you mean talking about the club itself, or the song or dj?

Its really simple. Just compliment the hell out of them. Especially the guys. Avoid being a suck up of course, but it'll loosen them up and even tease them once they warm up to you. Spend just a couple of min then eject. You can go back to them later and open another set the same way. Afterwards you can choose your target, but this is how you would build social proof in a place you haven't been to before.

    Two cheap ones:
"Hey I've lost my friend..." describe what he's wearing and an amusing annecdote about his fun-loving peronsality.
"Hey I'm new in town, is this place good? It reminds me of this one place back home..." share a good annecdote.

I like to stack / FTC from there

"Well I gotta go find my friend - before I go, what were your names... before I go how do you know each other... before I go where are you from..." then high-energy eject. They will want more of your time.

Also try "reverse Peacocking" ...Pea-henning (I guess).
If you see someone wearing something interesting, comment on it to start a conversation (the inverse of wearing something interesting so that others will start a conversation).
