Default How to Build a PUA Community

I'm wondering how to create a PUA community in my city. It looks like there are a lot of guys on the Forums who want to meet up with more people in person to chat about this stuff. I've been thinking about trying to organize a conference call and some free events, but I figure that you experts know better than me. I'm from Seattle where there is lots of potential to grow and plenty of people looking for help. I'm thinking it'd be fun to brainstorm for our poor friends in Pullman, Tri-Cities and Spokane (just to name a few place I've seen guys posting). I'm not ashamed of my game, and I've told the women about it once it starts toward serious. Definitely looking for good suggestions, expert guys.

Network like a boss. These forums are already integrated with Facebook, so you can start there. Also, I believe enjin allows you to create your own forum, so I would look into that.

Meetup is the best way to do it

I formed a meetup group in Minneapolis for the Pua community and it's worked great. You can post events for members, monitor who is allowed in and what the public sees, and set event organizers and stuff as you trust them as leaders out there

How do you propose networking on Facebook? Just friend request a bunch of guys who live in the area? Or meet people off of the forums and bring them out into the field? I've been trying to "network like a boss," but I feel like there are some avenues that I'm missing especially in RL. I've printed up some introduction cards for when I meet people interested in joining our Seattle community.

    I don't network like that

My lair is dedicated to people who understand the basics of the game, since we talk about sticking points and help each other advance, they need to know the premise.

I require people to have read at least something, If their application suggests they don't know what the community is, I reject them

If you want to advance, you need people in the game

If you want to socialize, the other groups already serve this purpose

If you want people in to the game, tell them about what you do, tell them to read "the game" then call you if they're interested

If you want a lair you have to make sure your lair is full of PUAs and not just people who think its another general social group. If you go out with people who won't push themselves to open, you all lose social proof.

Most of these groups accept anybody, so they get 200 people who do nothing, never go out, and don't know anybody. We don't, we have 50 members so far and have 10-15 people out each week. If someone joins and doesnt do anything in 3-4 months, i boot em. We've actually had to set more smaller events to keep it at better gaming levels

If you search for Minneapolis pua group in MN you'll see The introduction to our group, that may help

You are right that it matters what type of group you are looking for. Currently I just want a really large social group that can get people together for fun activities loosely based around PUA concepts. I'm really keen to mentor some of the newbies, and many of them lack strong fundamentals making this an intriguing challenge. Down the road, it'd be great to have a core group for sarging, although I feel like I'm doing well enough with my solo game and core wing groups.
