    Default Facial hair

So I've entertained the idea of doing No Shave November. I've never really grown any facial hair besides a doofy mustache in college, but I figured it was time to see what I can do. Here's the thing - I'm 26 and I still can't grow a full beard. I have 3 days' worth of stubble, and it's growing in well around the goatee/sideburn area, but the cheek area in between and the bottom of my chin are pretty sparse.

I'm going out tomorrow night and I'm debating leaving it as-is or shaving it all off. I've heard guys say "If you can grow it, show it", and I've heard that facial hair adds masculine character. But if it's half-assed is it more of a detriment?

Here are some photos for reference:

I too am doing no shave November. Totally depends on how it contrasts with skin tone of the face. My beard is light. Skin light too

Today I will take advantage of the opportunities presented to me.

Yeah, I've seen white guys with blonde hair who can pull off a patchy beard since they both blend in well. I have dirty blond hair, but my facial hair grows in a bit darker, and the patchy areas are pretty noticeable (The photos I posted really suck, they make my facial hair look lighter than it is).

I have a pretty decent goatee thing going now, and my sideburns are pretty solid, so like Hyp says I may just clean it up a bit, maybe shave away the patchy areas.

if your game is solid, appearance realy doesn't matter, but if you grow out any facial hair i recomend you use conditioner on it so its soft instead of scratchy also if you can't grow much of a beard just grow out a mustache and sideburns. i have sideburns year around and chicks actualy think they give me charactor, however if you choose to grow anything make sure it fits your style and doesn't make you look like a hobo

Yeah, I'm going out to a bar that has more of a hipster/punk crowd, so it won't be too out of place. I see patchy stubble beards all over NYC, but as a guy I can't gauge whether or not those are considered turn-ons for women. I guess it all depends on the guy.

So tonight's the big night! I still have a couple hours before I go out, any last minute thoughts?
