    ME

    Hi HB 9,
I am sorry i didn't get a chance to talk to you on saturday, I was just leaving when I saw you!! I am guessing you had just attended a wedding (unless you always wear a Ball Gown when going to a club)
Hope to see you around soon!
Have a fabulous 2013!
Choco Love

Hi Choco Love ,
That's completely fine, no apology necessary and yes, not my chosen clubbing attire - a ball gown as you guessed, was there after a wedding!
CityX is small enough so i am sure I'll see you around somewhere..
Hope the new year treats you well!
take care,
HB 9

    Me

Glad to hear you are not a regular Ball Gown Clubber I was momentarily concerned!!
Regardin g not speaking with you, I suppose I was more regretful than apologetic, but having said that; NightclubX after your friends wedding was probably not the most conducive environment for an interesting conversation!!
While I look at CityX being small in a positive light, in this instance, it is not small enough! I haven't seen you since the day I met you at the funeral. Perhaps we could meet for lunch next week and actually have a conversation!! I feel like I haven't had an interesting one (not involving work) in a while. Do you like Japanese?

    Me

Oh, and I hope the new year treats you better than it has treated me so far!!

    HB 9

    Hi Choco Love ,
That's not true, we met at your cousins wedding! lol You are being very nice, but if you are looking for interesting conversation i am sure i am hardly the person for it. I can be quite boring
So you aren't too much of a fan of the 'ball gown clubber's i take it? That was my first time and i don't plan on repeating it really...it's not too fun
As for your wishes for the new year, thank you. I could use it and hope whatever is not going right for you now turns around soon. Not sure what you are going through but it seems to come down to the choices is what i have come to see, which can be tiresome and frustrating sometimes. But you got to be alright with what you go with and take the pro with the con and just stay positive. Alright then..apologies for the randomness there lol bit of thinking out loud.
Anyhoo, hope you have better days ahead!

    Me

Damn, I knew it!! my interesting gauge is so off!!! Oh well...

    Me

You are right, i did see you my cousins wedding... 3 times over 5 or 6 years is not as often as I would have thought...
You know your message is so long, I am thinking of sending you a numbered response!!
1. I think Ball Gowns are very beautiful (on the right people, ideally without back cleavage)
2. I don't think Ball Gowns are inappropriate clubbing attire, unless worn after attending a wedding
3. Regarding the new year wishes, I meant them, and you are welcome.
4. Whoa deep and philosophical!! Careful, you are running the risk of being interesting!! we might have an interesting conversation about the choices you have made or are making... What you are doing sounds like settling, and, I am not sure what your point of reference is, but I generally don't like settling... So lets put a * here and come back to it.
5. Loved the randomness, and the small outburst of thought...
Here i am giving you the chance to prove me wrong and show me how boring you can be!!
See you on Monday?

    Me

sh1t number 2 is a double negative, I meant to say I don't this Ball Gown s are appropriate unless worn...

...

I don't think Ball Gown s... Damn it!!

    (after 12 hours)

Me

so yes to lunch?

I promise we can go clubbing in a ball gown later

(after 48 hours, and interacting with me on other subjects, photo comments etc.)
    Me

are you done torturing me yet?

    HB 9
Lol...torturing? I'm sure you are doing fine..
But since you claim i am, i'm gonna cut to the chase....so apart from me actually being busy from tomorrow on, it will have to be a no to lunch. Sorry Choco Love ...also sorry if that sounds blunt, just don't want to waste your time. Good effort though
also i'm pretty sure it's not been 5-6 years, since we were introduced...your time line gauge isn't so good either is it
Anyways here's to 'back cleavage'-less Ball Gown ball gown wearers in your new year!

    Me

Thanks for the honesty... Doesn't mean I will stop trying

    HB 9

right! i suppose i can't stop you but at least you know where i stand

    Me

    ... For the time being...

Oh man, on a scale from 0 to 10, this was abyssmal. What I spotted you doing wrong.

Overall you looked like you were trying too hard and at the end came off looking needy with what you said.
    - Too much self-deprecation. Especially, "hope the New Year has been treating you better than it has been treating me." No future projection fantasy here. You just undercut yourself from looking interesting and made it that you need her company to be fulfilling.
    - consecutive messaging didn't look too good. Looks needy.
    - "Are you done torturing me yet?" This made you look beta.
    - Some parts look like you are trying to hard to be funny.
    - Long walls of text never a good thing. Brevity. Always keep your stuff shorter than hers.

She told you straight out that she wasn't interested. Most girls won't even dignify a response, but at least she was straight up. So best thing is to move on. If you keep pursuing her and coming off as desperate and putting her on the pedestal, no matter what you do, you will never be attractive in her eyes.

Gotta brush up on your "Text-Fu" before making a new attempt. Move on. This girl was a bit too savvy for you this go.

I know guys!! I have been relatively successful with all most of the other targets!! having said that all the others are european, and this one is a very nice, conservative local girl... I know my game is SOOOO off with her!! I neeeeeeeed to fix it!! I really struggle with this one!!

Okay will read the stickies... amazingly she hasn't ceased communication... today was my 2 week deadline, and I just started friendly banter, because we have mutual friends and I can't afford to have awkwardness...
