    Default Changing Bad Mind States

    Usually I'm a pretty energetic, positive minded person but sometimes I've been finding that I just get into a bad mind state and things go from bad to worse to worse again.
    I'm just wondering how I can easily and quickly change from a bad mind state e.g. tired/bored/unsocial/quiet/beta to a positive mind state e.g. energetic/chatty/cocky/loud/alpha.
    Is there any tips and exercises I can do to quickly change mind states?

    Meditation. Try to quiet your mind. If you're thinking "ok it's quiet" you have not succeeded. You must aim to be completlely present. Bad mind states happen but you are not your mind. You are billions of cells, all of which have their own DNA, you are billions of atoms, all of which are 99.999% empty space. You are traveling through the universe at speeds you can't even comprehend. Your mind likes to think it has things figured out but it never does! It's searching fot some answer but there's no answer to be found! And that's the source of all misery. "If I just get a girlfriend I'll be happy..." No! "If I fark a hot bitch ill be happy!" No! "If I get rich ill be happy." No! Even if you succeed you will fail. You will always want more. The ego is never satisfied, it can't be, it thrives off the past and future but is completely out of touch with present reality. True joy and peace can only come in the present. After all, what is life but a series of nows? Ask a tree the time and he'll laugh at you - the time is always now!

    Quiet your mind, be present, feel the life energy flowing through you. Touch something and focus on that sensation, focus on your breathing. You are not your mind. If you achieve emptiness you will know your true self. It will never be found in your mind. The mind is a part of you but it is not you. Tap into the oneness of all things. The universe is incomprehensibly enormous, remember that. The world doesn't revolve around you so don't sweat it so much. Try to enjoy this crazy ride, with all its ups and downs. You are not the actor but rather the observer. Your body is simply your portal into the universe. We are the universe subjectively experiencing itself. Crazy huh?

    Meditate in the morning, before bed, whether you are anxious or not. It really helps. If youre about to go out and you're feeling anxious meditate beforehand. If you're in that setting and feeling anxious then step outside and take a walk. Focus on every individual step and force yourself into the present. Should help.

    That's a lot of hippy mumbo jumbo but hopefully some of that was helpful. I was about to say it's not that easy but truth is, it is. The ego wants you to think it's hard, unachievable. Some anxiety is good - you certainly want to avoid a pack of ravenous wolves. But it's a problem when it gets in the way of what you want. You're afraid of talking to girls, making a move, asking her out. Why? It's a defense mechanism. What happens when you get hurt? The ego is trying to save you from that. But truthfully it's the source of your misery, you must take risks to get what you want. You will get hurt but that's life. Yin and yang there must be sadness if there is to be happiness. But joy and peace come from within regardless of where you're at in life.

    Or take drugs. Lol, I'll stop now, hopefully someone finds something useful in there.

    Sometimes u are just in a bad state. Its unavoidable. No one can be 'on' all the time. You can be doing great for weeks and then BAM! U just get in a mood.

    What works varies. For me its learning something new. Getting out and visiting new places, buying new clothes or other stuff while daygaming (with no pressure on any particular outcome). Playing instrument also.

    Pua stuff alone does not bring happiness. It CAN get old after u been at it for months. Keep active on other pursuits and u will find your way back.

    But remember... its just going to be bad some days. Its normal. Dont dwell on it too much. Just get through it and start fresh tomorrow

    Simple,basically when you enter the "God Mode" as simplpickup guys call it,it's an adrenaline rush you get from your successes,as you know excitement and fear is the same kind of adrenaline,so it's basically you getting excited.

    Usually a few things help me :

    Crazy-ass music(everyone has his own definition of that),but something energetic and possibly funny.An example would be(based on my taste) System of a down - Cigaro,or pretty much any song by Mindless Self Indulgence,i like this music because of how these guys are not afraid of humiliating themselves publicly,especially Mindless Self Indulgence.
    Dance to this sh1t before you go and you'll be set.

    Opening sets,you walk in with a group,especially if there are people in the group that don't know you well(preferably girls) and start opening everyone in the club/w.e. place,you instantly DHV and also get your adrenaline rush from the Approach.

    Wow that's some deep sh1t! Enjoyed reading that haha. For me it's definitely actions that gets me into a different mindset. Talking to people I don't know, even if I'm just saying "Hey!", usually gets me feeling alittle better .

    I like to watch pickup instruction on youtube from various people before I go out. I don't necessarily follow exactly what is being said or pay attention to the techniques I just like hearing it in the back ground to get me in that mindset.

    For the music, I totally agree, I usually don't just do one song though. I will start out with something really really high energy and aggressive to get me super pumped then I will listen to 2 or 3 chill upbeat songs en route to the gaming location. By that time I am still in a very positive state but i'm brought back down to a comfortable easy going level.

    These are helpful things but I meant something more like if I'm out already and find myself having a bad time due to cpnstant rejection/being AMOG'd/being around boring people, I can find myself getting really quiet and into a bad mindset. From the above posts maybe a good idea would be to excuse myself from the group, go to the toilet and just clear my mind for a while, come up with a new game plan and rejoin the group fresh and with my positive and energetic mindset back in place.

    Oh ok well be more specific lol...

    Basically, you need to switch up wats not working. Venue, activity...friends. if something is not working, change it!

    Also, dont focus too much on results. Just go somewhere to chill and have a good time. Have a result in mind (get a couple girls numbers for example) but dont worry if you dont achieve a specific goal. Concentrate on having fun.
