    Default Getting pumped in the mornings

    I'm tired of waking up feeling sluggish, what can I do get some life back in me? Go for a run? Listen to metal? Do 50 pushups? Yell like tarzan??
    Suggestions welcome!

    Get a good amount of REM sleep first of all. Basically, that's the phase of sleep where your mind is really getting it's rest.

    Secondly, don't wank off for a while. The hormone build up will give you more energy over time.

    Third, workout and cardio every day. This will increase your metabolism and release good chemicals in your body to give your a positive mood and energy, plus it burns fat (if you're out of shape).

    Fourth, diet. This one is key. If you put sh!t in your body, you will feel like sh!t. Drink lots of water throughout the day. Replace maybe one or 2 things in your daily meals with something a little healthier. Maybe a candy bar with an apple for example. You don't need to go on a crazy weight watchers diet. Just slowly change little things that you eat daily.

    I'd put diet first. More than anything (even proper sleep), proper blood sugar levels and muscle recycle will change your life.

    Google Lyle McDonald's stuff, get yourself on a very CLEAN diet (free of HFCS, excess sucrose/glucose) and workout enough to get your blood moving and your muscles growing, and you will wake up not only feeling good but with a level of mental focus and motivation that very few things will do for you.

    A good day at the gym and the results on my weight scale is one thing that makes be feel as good as closing a HB8+.

    Honestly my diet and exercise is totally fine. I just want to wake up and do something energetic to get me pumped up for the day. Any exercises, or ideas?

    I've tried that. Here goes my problem in college: I sleep in a lofted bed and there is a futon right under me. I put my alarm clock right next to me, I'll silence it and go to sleep. I put it down by the futon, I'll turn it off and then just fall right back asleep on the futon. I even tried putting it up high, forcing myself to jump up and down to try and get it, but then once I got it I would just go right to the futon. I do push-ups in the morning, and that helps little as well.

    It's all a matter of motivation. You gotta be able to tell yourself to get out of bed and do something. Quickest way to wake up is to go to the showers and hit yourself with a jet of ice water. The only problem is actually getting up to go there, which requires some determination on your part.

    Set an alarm clock to play a rock station at full volume in the morning. That might shock you awake and make you not feel as sluggish. I'm actually gonna try that tonight

    Have two phones, set six alarms, three on each, alternating 5 min around when you want to wake. Throw that sh1t across the room. Wake up pissed off but you have to get up. Big bowl of oatmeal and raisins, walk out the door like a boss and fark that day in the a$$!
